Philipburn Hotel, BW Signature Collection

I stayed here with work colleagues on the 19th of march 25, what a place it was so nice from the standards of the rooms and hotel and friendliness of all the staff. the room was really large and a massive bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and separate double shower. The evening meal and breakfast are well worth the money. I would recommend staying here if in the area. and will defiantly be back.

We stayed here for just one night as part of a road trip, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our journey. The place was clean, tidy, and incredibly welcoming. The staff went above and beyond - from letting us hose down our cars after a long drive, to surprising me with candles in a cake for my birthday. It was such a thoughtful gesture that really made the stay special. The homemade food was delicious, and the scenery surrounding the hotel was absolutely beautiful. Most of all, the staff were amazing!Super friendly, helpful, and full of genuine warmth. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful, friendly place to stay. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

I was booked in to the Philipburn Hotel this weekend. I have stayed before and again I cannot fault this hotel. On arrival staff was very helpful and accommodating. My room was spacious and spotless nothing out of place. I also had a small patio area I could sit out at. This hotel is in a very peaceful area of Selkirk. The menu had a very good choice and the food that I ordered was delicious compliments to the chef. I can’t fault anything 5*

Everything in the hotel was tip top and the staff could not have been nicer. We can recommend this Best Western hotel without reservation. The countryside in the Borders is superb. We also visited the pretty towns of Kelso and Jedburgh nearby.

well, a mixed bag... handy enough location for Selkirk, gardens are pleasant, rooms are generally OK, breakfast was very nice and host tried very hard to look after us at Breakfast although I'm not a fan of having to have a specific time or pre-order what you want, but understand when the hotel is quiet. In fact, we were the only guests staying, which felt 'strange' We cancelled dinner because we didn't want to pre-order food, and then eat alone in the restuarant, and hotel was closed on arrival, which we didn't feel very welcoming.

We recently celebrated our wedding at the Philipburn Hotel, on 7th September. Adrian, Graham and Lesley certainly went above and beyond on the day to make it a great experience for all who attended. The wedding ceremony took place in the gardens of the hotel, followed by the reception in the Linglie Suite. The wedding meal was absolutely amazing, with all guests commenting on how good the meal was. The whole day was perfect. We could not have asked for better and cannot thank them enough. Our only issues we encountered was the run up to the wedding when we were informed that we needed to find a hairdresser and a photographer which was part of the package. This was a stressful situation for us both as we had paid for an all inclusive wedding and did not expect to be involved in doing their job for them and getting involved in this way. However, it wasn’t something that couldn’t be resolved and went smoothly in the end. A big thank you to Hetties of Melrose for stepping in at the last moment and a huge thank you to Ali Graham for being such an amazing photographer, both hairdresser and photographer went above and beyond what we asked for.
