La chambre était énorme avec belles vues et propre, la nourriture était magnifique avec un personnel très utile qui travaillait dur et Andy nous a toujours ri, le divertissement était très bon avec un quiz intéressant d'information, la piscine était magnifique après un jour de sortie. Nous étions là dans la semaine extrêmement chaude et nous avions trouvé un fan dans le garde-robe qui était bien utilisé! Les vues panoramiques de la salle et de la salle à manger étaient étonnantes. Merci Channel View - ils nous ont même dégagés comme nous l'avons laissé. Bien fait. Elaine"

"Superbe! Le petit déjeuner est particulièrement bon. Les installations sont également particulièrement bonnes! Il y a une piscine intérieure partagée. Juste au bord de la mer, il y a un endroit pour les enfants à jouer. Le service est particulièrement bon, impressionnant! Il est approprié pour voyager à la famille pour se détendre quelques jours. (L'hôtel fournira des billets de Shankline Chine, vous recevrez après avoir reçu les billets, sans avoir à acheter les billets à l'avance.)"

"This was my second visit to the Medehamstede and the guys work so hard there they deserve a second review. James and the team can’t do enough to help you. On arrival Alison was there to welcome us and I had such a warm welcome I felt like I was home from home and she looked after me last year. This year the hotel has the lovely Charlotte behind the bar and she is amazing. The food is basic but there most definitely a choice at breakfast you just have to request it and it will be accommodated. Be prepared it is only a small team and sometimes you do have to wait when there is a large party like ours. As a solo traveler I always feel safe at the hotel and the transport link to the rest of the island is a short walk away. Entertainment was Jules (she is amazing) and Glen on the Friday. I will most certainly be back next year. A Special Shout out to James’s young lad who worked so hard carrying the luggage to the rooms looking very professional and polite."

The Clifton
"Once again, the Clifton hotel proved to be a home from home. During our stay the weather was somewhat changeable but still managed a restful morning sat enjoying the sun on our room’s balcony, enjoying the uninterrupted sea view. For other times, when the weather was a bit more inclement, the hotel is friendly and cosy and sitting in the lounge and snug bar was perfectly relaxing. Sadly, the wet weather meant we couldn’t sit in the beautiful garden this time but who cares when delicious light meals and homemade cakes are available inside? The town centre is an easy walk from the hotel, as is the seafront and beach, the clifftop walk passes right in front of the hotel and Shanklin Chine at the end of the road. Of course, being the Isle of Wight, there is a great choice of attractions within a short distance. Back at the hotel, breakfast is good, the rooms are consistently clean and the beds comfortable – it’s always a wrench to leave at the end of our stay! Looking forward to returning next year."

"Such a fantastic place. We stayed in Victoria and it was perfect for us. It's about a 10 minute walk from Old Shanklin but otherwise situated about a minute form the high street where there were plenty of food and drink options as well as a variety of shops. We were a couple so didn't need huge amounts of space. The bed was comfortable and due to having some mobility issues nothing was too big an ask for Rae. She happily organised for a seat to be placed in the shower to aid me. There are 2 shallow steps to go into the property but otherwise it is all on one level. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others."

"Our second visit to this superb b & b. Expertly hosted by Hayley and John whom endeavour to ensure your stay is most enjoyable and relaxing. Cleaned to a very high standard and the breakfasts are top notch with a great and varied selection. Any hot food is expertly cooked by John and the whole dining experience is overseen by Hayley. Both hosts are very knowledgeable regarding places to visit and things to do. A well deserved high rating on Tripadvisor."

"Le 4 juin, nous sommes arrivés le jour où l'hôtel a subi un bébé familial. La dame à la réception était très aimable et utile puisque le restaurant était fermé pour notre séjour. La chambre était très calme avec belle vue sur la mer. Nous sommes allés au bar de Fisherman shanklin excellent choix, et nous avons dîné à la maison de cheques très agréable. Nous avons apprécié notre séjour de 4 nuits et nous nous réserverons à nouveau."

"We arrived after a long flight from Australia and checked in at the Birkdale Guest House. From the minute we were greeted by Colin and Lesley we felt right at home at this venue. Our room was spacious, comfortable and had lovely decor. Everything was so clean and fresh including the spacious bathroom. The choices for breakfast were amazing, just so many and the food was delicious! The fruit salad was definitely the best fruit salad I've ever had! Birkdale Guest House is in a great location to access the old village with lots of eateries within a short walk, also close to Shanklin Chine and the beautiful Esplanade. The local buses are efficient and frequent and also very close by, if like us, you don't have a car. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay on our arrival into the UK and so glad we chose to visit the Isle of Wight. Thank you Lesley and Colin. "

"I'm so glad I booked The Royson for my recent Isle of Wight trip with my two young children. Nigel was very polite and welcoming. The hotel location is amazing, quiet, close to beach and convenience store. The room is not very spacious but it had everything we needed. The room and beds were clean (cleanliness was one of my biggest concerns!). The breakfast included was absolutely lovely which as a mum I was so relieved that everyone was happy and full to start the day!!!!!!!! my kids love the play area downstairs! I definitely recommend the Royson!"
