"We came to stay with you on the 4th of July for a family wedding that was nearby. The room was nice and all the staff we had contact with were professional and pleasant. The guy who checked us in was lovely but unfortunately we didn't catch his name and the young lady behind the bar in the evening Bridy/Brady was so lovely professional and friendly and went out of her way to make us feel welcome and appreciated. The other guy on the bar we only saw briefly but was also very friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel although the rooms were basic (which we expect for the money) the staff made it for us."

"Poorly conceived, shoddily finished and dangerously under maintained. That is how I’d summarise this hotel. As you enter the “deluxe 1 bedroom apartment”, the first thing that strikes you is the peculiar lay out. A box of a kitchen followed by the small single bed area, which bizarrely contains a fridge freezer and a mini breakfast bar (presumably as there is no way they could fit in the kitchen). Some steps lead past an uncurtained window (possibly a feature to make using an alarm unnecessary, as the light was enough to wake us shortly after dawn), into the main bedroom. Off this, there is the tiny bathroom (It’s unclear how the occupant of the single bed would access this if the main room was in use). It seems less of an apartment and more like the owner had a corridor with a small room at the end with a couple of storage closets and thought - “Hang on, if I put a door at the end of the corridor and squeeze a couple of the smallest appliances I can find into the broom closets, I can call it an apartment and charge people to stay here.” Unfortunately that is not the worst of it. The interior is poorly decorated and finished, cracks, water/damp marks, missing light shades (I could go on). However the worst element was when we shut our bedroom door, only to find that the handle was missing. Not fallen off or broken - simply missing. We were trapped in the room, unable to get out. The phone that had all contact details on was in the inaccessible area and the hotel is not staffed at night. Thankfully we had a phone in the bedroom and we eventually were able to contact someone and were released at some time after 12.30am. On closer inspection, other door handles were lacking a number of screws leading to the conclusion this was an accident waiting to happen - to us apparently. Luckily nothing untoward happened to us whilst we were locked in, but we couldn’t help contemplating what might have happened in the event of a fire or a medical emergency. Even though the door was opened, it couldn’t be fixed and no other room was available for us to move to. Needless to say, a worry filled night meant we had an extremely poor night's sleep. Upon checking out the next morning there were no staff to speak to. On trying the numbers provided, no one answered. When we finally got through to someone much later that day they simply advised us that they couldn’t help and to call back the next day. I could talk about the misrepresentation of calling this place a “boutique” anything, the poor provision of facilities and sundries or the unenthusiastic staff but to be fair, if that was it, I’d have had a moan and moved on. This place is dangerous and management don’t seem to care. If I was homeless in Sheffield, I’d sleep in my car before staying here again - even if it was for free. Do yourself a huge favour, find somewhere else."
