I recently visited the establishment in one of the most less crowded period of the year. True is that the price was low for this prime location and listed facilities, but this was unfortunately reflecting a drop in the quality of the services offered. E.g. the much acclaimed buffet breakfast was replaced by a "continental" one, a very basic one (no butter or any sweet product for most of the options, etc.); the claimed dinner at 7 euro (as per booking site) is misleading as included only the main dish (well, yes, also the side dish and a salad). Some details of our room were at least strange: no side bed lamps - the ones supposed to function as such were located meters away - possibly due to a relatively new installed heating device (good in itself) while the original heat radiator in the bathroom was constantly ice cold...To reflect the true truth, some of the vila's facilities were operating (like the so-called "jacuzzi" with a hot, nice water temperature but lacking a decent water jet pressure...). All in all, our stay there would have been just acceptable and in direct relation with the paid price. Let's say an honest 3 out of 5 rating. One should take into account that Sovata is a very nice resort and not particularly cheap (specially by local norms). But (yes, there is a "but"), now let me get to the lowest point of my review: the administrator/ owner's attitude. In constant war with his past (assuming unruly) guests and his own staff. We felt being punished ourselves: he did not hesitate to "explain" us his motivations to replace the buffet breakfast with the very poor "continental" one (no, it was not even a proper "continental" one by any norms...). Lecture his reactions - always written in caps!!- to some reviews on booking site. He immediately blamed other (unidentified) guests that allegedly removed the bulbs of 2 lamps from our room. A banal request of 1(one) portion of butter and jam to complement our breakfast (I genuinely thought that should have been included...sorry for my greediness) generated during our check-out an entire negative reaction against his own staff that is doing everything to steal food and money from him..., he even mentioned to us that is looking to install an unmanned/ automatic check-in system for his establishment, and consequently to fire most of his staff. All these looked almost anecdotical, but we really felt sorry for his own staff. At the end, we realized that all our interactions with this administrator were mostly around his frustrations. Ad-hoc house rules - to a certain extent abusive and anyhow not at all mentioned elsewhere like on sites like booking, etc.: e.g. interdiction to enter the facility with your own food was displayed on a large board at hotel's entrance instead of a more appropriate welcome greeting message. Talking about rules and regulations: wearing a COVID protective mask was something that our administrator did not seem at all concerned despite the fact that we were ve
