Madhuban Hotel is abaolutely the best hotel to stay in Kathmandu. I will tell you why. The hotel is on point in all aspects. Value for money - you get what you pay. The hotel offers free breakfast and very affordable in-house food and snacks. The pick-up and drop-off from the airport was smooth, hassle-free and absolutely enjoyable. I was picked up by the son of the hotel owner and it was an absolutely enjoyable time. Location - Madhuban Hotel is strategically located - far from the noisy cith but near the places of interests. It is near the party area (thamel area) with lots of restaurants and souvenir shop. It is one ride away from major attractions. Tours and adventures - the hotel have their own provider - adventureboundnepal. Theu arrange and match prices in the market. They were even able to pull up a last minute booking for me with the everest flight. Hospitality - owners, managers and staff are all smiling, cheerful and happy. You feel at home. Rooms - spacious and very neat. Heaters is working, fast internet and plus points if you have a terrace (which i did). The rooftop gives an amazing view of the neighborhood. Restaurants and shops - plenty around the area. You will never go wrong! Will stay again in Madhuban Hotel?? DEFINITELY!

Baudha Apart Hotel The Air is much cleaner at these heights. A lovely view to be seen from the roof top upon the city down below. There is a room up there, for yoga, for exercise, or meditation. An elevator takes you there, but you can climb the stairs, if you wish, especially to prepare for a mountain trek – there is an ample storage room in that regard. Boudha Apart is owned by a Sherpa family, originally from Lukla, so there are many good contacts with the high mountain community. The hotel is fairly new, and that means nothing is broken. That is to say also, that it is well maintained, that the guests are not a rowdy sort, and they are mindful of each other's tranquility. The rooms are well thought out, and many have a sun facing balcony. Both sink and shower have abundant hot water, adjustable as you like. On the ground floor is a large restaurant, with a diverse menu of local cuisine, and western comfort foods. The basement is a parking garage for cars and bikes. The staff is of good cheer, and supportive of your adventures and plans. They, most conveniently, pick up and deliver to the airport. There is also a car and driver for various tours, as you will. And finally to say, the price to value is most fair, as one compares to other hotels in the region.

L'hôtel était proche du centre du quartier de Thamel, ce qui en faisait un endroit idéal pour visiter la ville. La chambre était propre et la climatisation fonctionnait bien, j'ai donc passé un séjour confortable. Il n'y a pas de commodités ; vous devez donc apporter vos propres serviettes, savon, shampoing et après-shampoing. Vous pouvez vous les procurer dans un magasin à proximité.

Ma femme et moi avons passé une nuit le 31 mars dans la rue. Tout le personnel est sympathique et a rendu notre séjour agréable. Nous avons commandé plusieurs plats au restaurant attenant et avons été entièrement satisfaits de chaque plat. Il a fallu quelques minutes pour que l'eau chaude de la douche sorte, mais le personnel a expliqué les détails à l'avance afin que nous puissions profiter de l'eau chaude sans nous inquiéter. Nous recommandons cet hôtel.

I would like to express my appreciation for the warm hospitality and the exceptional behavior of the staff. The food was wonderful, and the rooms were both neat and clean. J'ai eu une terrible expérience dans cet hôtel - il a réservé comme un premier arrêt à Kathmandu à l'arrivée au Népal, un endroit où je me place pour mettre mes bagages pendant le voyage et une nuit dernière avant de partir du pays. Il n'y a pas de disposition pour le contrôle de sac - pas d'étiquette donnée ou similaire. Demande si je pouvais partir / vérifier mon sac a été dit oui et de quitter devant le bureau de front. Deux semaines plus tard, quand je suis retourné au sac d'hôtel, il était encore dans le lobby devant le bureau de front. Les choses manquaient bien sûr - pas assez de valeur pour argumenter, mais le fait qu'ils ne pouvaient même pas être dérangés de déplacer le sac quelques pieds vers un coffre-fort ou un endroit de garde ou le genre est un indice de la façon dont ce lieu roule. Ils ont essayé de réserver un transbordeur pour le matin d'abord à l'aéroport par l'hôtel, listé comme service inclus. Au lieu de 5h15, il est devenu un jeu de laisser faire un accord et voir combien nous pouvons charger en ne donnant aucune preuve il y avait même un chauffeur. Le Nepal est un pays merveilleux - cet hôtel a été une expérience constante de mauvaise qualité. Les chambres elles-mêmes sont meh - n'a pas essayé le petit déjeuner gratuit, sur le restaurant local était assez bon, l'atmosphère/la nourriture. Ce n'est pas un hôtel bon marché selon les normes locales - pour le point de prix il y a beaucoup / beaucoup d'options dans la région.

The room made a decent first impression and did the bare minimum. But, it quickly became clear that it’s best suited for a very short stay. The bed was comfortable enough. Overall, the room is fine if you’re just passing through, but anything longer starts to feel like stretching it. Staff presence around the hotel was limited. They clearly run on a lean operation, which can go either way. The guard in front of the elevator stood out in the best possible way and added a genuinely warm, human touch, which helped balance things out. At check-in, I was given two complimentary cocktail coupons for the upstairs bar, which immediately lifted my spirits. This was a place I had enjoyed many times before and often recommended to friends and family. I had good memories of the atmosphere, the food, and the general vibe, so I went in with high hopes. In the past I had written raving 5-star reviews of their restaurant food and amazing service! Unfortunately, the experience that followed didn’t live up to those expectations. What should have been a simple, enjoyable night out unraveled into confusion and unwelcoming interactions. Small moments piled up, the mood shifted, and it became clear that the experience had gone off the rails. Rather than force it, my group and I decided to take our time and money elsewhere. Sometimes you read the room and move on. I returned to the hotel later that night and stayed over. Took a hot shower in the morning, loved the smell of their body wash, btw! Another brief interaction during checkout reinforced the same theme: rigid, abrupt, and lacking the kind of hospitality that makes guests feel welcome. All in all, it’s disappointing to see a place I once enjoyed and freely recommended lose its consistency and warmth. I’m no longer comfortable recommending it, and I’m not sure I would choose to return. As for the unused cocktail coupon, I still have it. Any takers?

Un très bon hôtel économique avec un personnel et un environnement très sympathiques. Il est idéalement situé juste au nord du quartier de Thamel, à environ 20 minutes à pied, avec de nombreux restaurants raffinés parmi lesquels choisir. Les chambres sont bien rangées et soignées. C'est mon deuxième séjour ici et je suis très satisfait du logement. J'aime le jardin de l'arrière-cour et le quartier généralement calme. Nourriture décente ici du restaurant local. Belles douches chaudes et télévision par câble.

I stayed for 2 nights, it didn't feel safe for me as a solo woman traveller. One the first night around 11pm there were 3-4 men shouting and laughing and knocked my door. I was scared and called the reception. The phone wire was not connected to the phone, i have to hold it tight to the phone while i was speaking. It was a terrifying experience. When in emergency even the phone wasn't working! the receptionist took 30 min to for the men to calm down. The next day morning the receptionist told me they men moved out. But i saw them in the evening in the hotel. Didn't feel safe. Again, the men, shouting and aloud. Still i couldn't sleep there, awake whole two nights i stayed there, didn't feel safe. The place was clean. Location was good.

C’est un superbe hôtel , l’emplacement est bon et c’est très calme . Ils sont très accueillants et souciants . J’ai été traité comme un roi . Juste que l’eau dans les toilettes sent pas bon du tout c’est le seul défaut de l’hôtel . Et aussi j’ai réclamé un changement de drap et couvertures le gérant m’a promis mais il l’a pas fait , j’ai du dormir 5 jours sur la même couverture
