Our home is a piling beach house with our main living upstairs. The enclosed bottom is a studio apartment/suite for you to enjoy. We are on the peaceful Davis Canal with a dock where you can spend time drinking coffee or cocktails, reading, fishing, kayaking, boating and enjoying sunrises/sunsets. Enjoy the beautiful, shared in ground pool and hot tub area. We are a quick, easy walk or bike ride to the beach. The space:It is a private studio apartment with a private entrance, a queen bed, private bathroom with tile shower and towel warmer, and a blue tooth fan for enjoying music. The living area has a comfortable, reclining couch. There is no kitchen, but there is a microwave, fridge, coffee pot with pods and coffee. Dishes, silverware, and wine glasses are provided. Enjoy the shared pool area with hot tub and the shared dock area. The grill is available for you to use. The Pink Cottage started as a fishing shack in 1955, the year after hurricane Hazel. In 1968 the 2 bedrooms and a bathroom were added. Also the back porch was enclosed and the kitchen was added including a large deck facing the water. In 2021 the shack was completely renovated and became The Pink Cottage. An enclosed outside shower with hot and cold water was added. The kitchen is fully furnished including a dishwasher. The pink cottage overlooks Montgomery Slough with its tidal creek where at low tide the many species of birds feed, at high tide watch for the dolphins. You may access the Slough at 17th Place West where you can catch your own shrimp, crab, or just explore the marsh with all its abundant life. You can also launch your kayak from this access. Carolina Tides is a modern, two-bedroom, two-bath beach villa located on Oak Island NC. We have a well-supplied kitchen, cable TV, WiFi, washer / dryer, direct beach access, seasonal swimming pool & hot tub (seasonal, April 15 thru October 15), elevator, free parking and much more. This villa is an end-unit on the quiet side with lots of natural light. Our complex is in the perfect "vacation location", directly across from the Yaupon Beach Fishing Pier, Koko Cabana bar and restaurant, Ruby's coffee shop, and the Lazy Turtle Bar and Grille just a block away. Also, less than a mile to the East is Oak Island Golf Club and their new Duffer's Pub and Grille. Enjoy palm trees and ocean views right from your porch. There is also a shared outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach. Oak Island Lighthouse is about a three mile walk along the beach to the East. Just off the island is the beautiful and historic town of Southport, NC. *PLEASE NOTE: 1) Our HOA prohibits boats, trailers and golf carts on the property. With 1212 square feet and an open floor plan, there is plenty of space for you to comfortably relax. There are two living/entertaining areas in the home, both centrally connected through the galley kitchen. Two bedrooms provide enough sleeping arrangements for 4 guests. The master bedroom offers a queen bed, television and private en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom offers two twin beds (one is a trundle with an extra memory foam topper). Two full bathrooms with walk-in showers. Linens are provided (sheets, towels/washcloths) along with shampoo and soap. A full-size washer and dryer is available just off the master bedroom.If you decide to cook in during your stay, the kitchen has all the essentials you’ll need - refrigerator, oven, microwave dishwasher, pots/pans, utensils, coffee pot, dishes.
