Premier Inn Hitchin Town Centre

Bedroom was too hot even with the air conditioning at coolest level. Had breakfast one morning and hot buffet items were merely lukewarm. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at Hitchin Premier Inn and honestly couldn’t fault a thing. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. A special thank you to Abi and Rod, who were both working during breakfast – they were absolutely brilliant. So friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what they were doing, which really made the whole atmosphere feel relaxed and pleasant. The breakfast itself was fantastic – one of the best we’ve had at a Premier Inn. Everything was fresh, hot, and constantly topped up. The cooked options were perfectly done. The sausages and hash browns were my personal favourite! and there was a great selection of continental items as well. Coffee was spot on too, which is always a bonus first thing in the morning. The room was spotless, the bed super comfy, and the aircon was a dream – quiet, efficient, and kept the room beautifully cool throughout the night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Huge thanks again to the team for making our visit so enjoyable – especially Abi and Rod for starting our mornings off with such a lovely vibe!

Most of the staff were great and really helpful. The beds were super comfy, definitely one of the highlights. Breakfast was okay, but the mushrooms were a bit oily. The chef was on his phone when we first got there, but once we approached him, he was really friendly and happy to help. It was a warm night, so the air con was a lifesaver. And as always, the showers were amazing!

The booking process was easy and when I reached out for some additional help, it was dealt with very quickly. Being able to cancel if necessary was also very useful, although thankfully we didn't need to do this. Megan checked us in, she couldn't have been more helpful, we were able to park right outside to offload passengers and luggage and were given all the information we needed on car parking. There was a short-stay (free overnight) car park immediately opposite and a long-stay car park a short walk away. Megan took us to our rooms and offered to assist with luggage. We were given all the info we needed regarding the restaurant etc. As one of the party members was disabled, we had one accessible room, and this also had an adjoining room, which was a great help. Both on the ground floor so we didn't need to negotiate the lifts. The rooms were clean, pleasantly decorated and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. We had paid for breakfast in advance and enjoyed the unlimited offering every day. We ate in the restaurant on two nights and found the meals to be well-presented and tasty. There is a M&S food hall just around the corner for lunch supplies if wanted or a selection of food outlets within walking distance. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well. The rooms are spacious and the walk in shower in the accessible room was a great help. There were also rails around the toilet and a low level peep hole in the room door. There was an emergency call bell if required. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. They worked very well as a team so must have a good manager. When we needed advice or assistance they were always able to help or find someone who could. Megan stood out as particularly thoughtful, organised and informed.

Great location if visiting Hitchin. Basically in the centre of town. Very clean and comfortable hotel with nice staff. Breakfast was really very good plenty of choice. Parking needs some thought and planning but nothing too stressful. Recommend for staying in the Hitchin area.

Hitchin premier inn , What a perfect location…!! Easily accessible to a lovely town , restaurants shopping and bars Front desk staff James was so helpful and really ensured we were well taken care of during our stay !! We will definitely be back , thank you James !!!!
