Hôtels proches de Oakley Wood, Stratford-upon-Avon

Quite impressed with the stay - the standard is above most of the 3 star hotels. I believe the hotel has been renovated (including the bathroom) so the room looks very new and clean. Room is very spacious and equipped with a nice bed. They provide facial tissues (surprise!) and the body wash amenity is lovely. We really enjoyed our stay.

We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we walked into reception. We bid for our stay as part of charity auction. The owners of Stratford park had donated a golf break of a night dinner, bed and breakfast and two rounds of golf in aid of Primrose Hospice. The junior suite is a lovely room, cozy and relaxing with luxury touches. Maz, the restaurant manager was attentive and looked after our every need. He gave great recommendations for food and wine and all was delicious. Golf - lovely course with wide fairways. Again friendly service from all. My challenge was to get over the water on 17th. I didn’t succeed so I will definitely go back.

莎士比亞小鎮的酒店，進去有個暖爐，很温馨，房間有點小，英國的房間都不太，離幾個景點步行都能到達，附近吃喝也方便。雖然衹入住了一晚，但是整體感覺都很好！

Welcoming staff, comfy bed and a quick walk to town. Went to visit Shakespeares house and have a tour around Stratford, convenient stay as the hotel was 15 minutes outside of the town, retail park across the road. Stayed for breakfast fairly priced and a standard set up of food.

The hotel was perfectly situated for the town and the theatre. Room was lovely & the bed & pillows dreamy! Staff were super friendly & helpful. Unfortunately we didn’t have breakfast as we had arranged to meet friends - but I’m sure it would have been wonderful!

Il a eu un fabuleux séjour de deux nuits à The DoubleTree pendant que je travaille loin de chez moi. Le personnel est très aimable et ils ne pouvaient pas faire assez pour leurs clients Nous n'avons pas réalisé au moment de la réservation que le petit déjeuner était inclus, c'était un bonus supplémentaire, une grande sélection de nourriture chaude et froide. L'hôtel est dans une position parfaite, juste une courte promenade aux pubs, restaurants du centre-ville.

Bon accueil par les propriétaires. La chambre triple (pour nous 2) était propre et confortable. La proximité du centre ville et le parking sont un vrai plus. Mais, déçu par le petit déjeuner. Les photos du propriétaire sur internet ainsi que le film de présentation sur leur site, mettent en évidence un petit déjeuner cuisiné et servi dans une salle. Il faut savoir que cela n'est pas la vérité car en fait c'est un panier (certes copieux) mais composé de sandwich, yaourt, fruits... Même pas un café maison, il faut prendre les dosettes et la bouilloire de la chambre. A savoir, pour ceux qui aiment l'agréable moment du petit déjeuner... Vraiment dommage car cela serait une bonne adresse.

My friend and I recently stayed 3 nights at Ettington Park. We’ve wanted to try it for a while so this was our first visit. We had a Twin Room (no 33, Exec room). We found all the staff very amenable and helpful. Special mention of Damon who kindly showed us around the hotel. Joe? (Bartender) makes the best cocktails. Really good. 😊 We didn’t have Dinner in the main restaurant but did eat in the Bar on the Sunday evening when we arrived. Food was lovely but could do with a few more veggie options. I had the hummus mezze platter as I didn’t fancy a veggie burger. Unfortunately, as my friend didn’t want to share the platter which was meant for 2, there was quite a bit of waste which would be good to be able to avoid. There was a good selection at Breakfast for both the Buffet and hot food to order. Room was spacious and very clean. Lovely gunmetal chandelier which I did have a look at as, normally, light fittings are a dust trap but it was spotless and shiny. Even skirting boards were devoid of dust which is quite rare in a lot of hotels, never mind one as old as this one, so I was very impressed with the standard of housekeeping. A couple of constructive points for the room: there’s a lovely gilt square mirror above fireplace but there seems to be several sections missing from it, exposing bare wood, although one section appeared to have been painted in (gold). It would be nice to restore the mirror if possible. Also, window/sill/seat could do with some filling and a lick of paint. I’m not a Pool/Spa user but my friend is. She used the facilities and also booked a back massage. She was very happy with pool and facilities generally. Her back massage appointment was with Tash and my friend said the bed was ultra relaxing and the massage eased the knots in her back so she was very pleased. We would definitely like to visit Ettington Park again in the future. :)

Just returned from 60th Birthday celebration here. We stayed in the Manor House suite for 3 nights. The Good = Stunning, historic building, beautiful grounds that are really well kept and a perfect location for Stratford. Nice big, really quiet room and a comfy bed, but the room needs a deep clean, v dusty. Spa = Small but adequate pool and nicely kept entrance & changing rooms...staff here were very friendly & I had an excellent massage. The not so good Service: Despite there being plenty of staff who were in the main friendly, they were disorganised and not at all attentive. For example:I had to go and find someone to place an order for drinks on the terrace (table service??) and when delivered, no drinks mat was used & the drink was spilled a bit (better service needed). Our empty glasses were still on the table some hours later when we walked past – dirty crockery lying around a common theme. Food: The cooked b'fast is plentiful and averagely good. The cold buffet items are woeful, poor quality fruit salad on 1 day, none at all on other days with limited bread items and poor cereal selection...v disappointing indeed. We had dinner in the restaurant (pre- booked) on my B'day and had asked for a quiet table -this request had clearly not been actioned & we had to ask to move as our allocated table was on a bench v close to another table. There doesn't appear to be a maitre d, so the dining room is not well run. The bread rolls were not a good start, v slow to come & whilst warm, poor quality...no sour dough or home made bread? Starters were equally dull, in particular the mackerel which was a tiny single mini fillet, we were shocked. Mains were average & plates were cold. We didn't bother with desert as whilst there was nothing major to complain about or send back, it was all v average and disappointing. It would have been nice to see a B’day gesture of some kind on arrival, in the room or at dinner and although there was a card in our room, not 1 member of staff acknowledged my B'day the entire stay, no glass of bubbly, flowers in the room, cake with a candle or icing on the plate...nothing...it really doesn't take or cost much to make someone feel special...you didn't even try. Overall this hotel leaves you thinking it could be so much better...most of the improvements needed would be so easy to achieve with some effort & better management...it was almost as if you have forgotten what your role is. What is worse is I could have easily just cut and pasted one of the other more negative reviews (that I wish I had read prior to booking) that almost mirror our own experience. Your responses are always similar, you are sorry & will learn from the 'touch points', but this doesn't seem to be the case as nothing has improved as a result of those reviews - please act on this one.

Super satisfait! La réception est très amicale et polie, la chambre à deux lits individuels est remplacée par une chambre double. Le paysage est parfait pour ne pas quitter la fenêtre, le petit déjeuner est très riche en bacons avec les caractéristiques de Feldon. Le dîner n'est pas le type que j'aime, mais l'expérience de service de deux nuits est également très bonne. Bien que l'activité officielle de 2 logements 3 ait été manquée, elle est globalement satisfaisante. Il est possible que le jour de l'événement se reproduise plus tard.
