This Premier Inn is quite easy to find, just a mile off junction 14 of the M6 on the way into Stafford and left at the first roundabout down Mustang Drive. Although I arrived mid- to late evening on my first night (of two) passing through the area, a lady staff member appeared soon at the front desk and my booking-in was reasonably quick. One or two staircase tread boards were a bit creaky up to the second floor. My room seemed to be quiet throughout my two nights midweek, certainly with no audible traffic noise; the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom shower was pleasantly warm not excessively hot. The breakfasts in the adjacent Redhill Restaurant for a bit more than £10 each morning were very generous self-serve - and not all just "full English", you could choose a fair range of different ingredients. There was however a slight fault with the coffee machine, for which the duty staff were very sorry. Both there and when doing my second night check-in they were very pleasant, remembering that I'd stayed because I needed accommodation so as to get to a funeral late morning further up the M6 and a wake following, and asking/ hoping that my day hadn't been too stressful etc. That's a really good sign of customer care, thank you so much. They were also very pleasant on my final checkout. On my second night, I also enjoyed a not overly-spiced chicken makhani curry with a generous glass of red wine in the Redhill Restaurant. The service was averagely quick and the dish was definitely just right, to finish what had been an emotional day. Overall, I will have very good memories of the Premier Inn Spitfire Stafford, and look forward to staying again some day soon in slightly happier circumstances!
