The neighborhood is so peaceful, you could just sit out on our large deck and listen to the wind blow through the tall pine trees and watch the chipmunks chase each other! Bring your dog along with you to enjoy the views.Our mountain home is well maintained . The 2 story layout of the house offers plenty of room to entertain big families, but comfy and cozy enough for just 2.With a large open floor plan, large loft, Pool Table, big hot tub, gas fireplace, four TVs, Dish Network with DVR, WIFI, Roku, DVD players even a VHS player. A thoroughly stocked kitchen also awaits you. High quality/High speed internet - perfect for working remotely from Tahoe. Rent for a week or a month to work away from home.As you walk in the front door, you enter the Great Room and are greeted by high ceilings that open to the loft. You will see a large warm gas stone-faced fireplace. There are 2 sets of sliding glass doors that open to the deck with BBQ, Patio seating with comfy Adirondack chairs and the over-sized hot tub.On the main floor, off the living room is one of the full bathrooms. Continue on down the hall to the washer and dryer and then to ALL 3 bedrooms.The master “Lake” room has a beautiful four-poster pine queen bed with a 3" memory foam mattress topper, a flat screen TV, private bath and lovely tree-covered mountain views.Next to this is the guest “Woods” room. This has a comfy queen sized bed with a 2” memory foam mattress topper and equally beautiful views!The next room is the “Bunk room” with bunk beds, twin over full, with storage drawers underneath. (sleeps 3) Great for the kids or adults!For the social cook, you will love the modern kitchen that opens to the living and dining areas, as well as the fireplace and the 55" plasma TV! So nice to be in the kitchen and hang out with your group!The dining area has a large table that can seat 8-10 and sliding glass doors leading out to the deck and hot tub. THE YARD IS NOT FENCED.We have tried our best to stock the kitchen with everything you might need for a vacation stay, such as chefs knives, coffee maker, crock pot, instant pot, blender, mixer, pots and pans, plate service for 12, serving trays and so much more. Enjoy the granite tile counter tops and stainless steel appliances, including a gas cook top/oven. There are 2 breakfast counters and bar stools to sit and enjoy.Upstairs is a loft with futons providing for extra sleeping. There is a half bath and a separate bed room with POOL TABLE and another flat screen TV. Game closet with TONS of games and puzzles for the whole family. There is also a cozy area of the loft just for watching movies and bookshelves full of reading for the whole family!Northstar Ski Resort is only 12 minutes away and it is a lovely village with an Ice Rink in winter and arts and crafts in summer and lots to do, eat and drink.The lake is only a 5 minute drive away! Sledding and skiing options are anywhere from 12 to 45 minutes away. In the summer there is golf, paddle-boarding, para-sailing, Jet skiing, relaxing!!! Oh did I mention....Casinos are also a short 12 minute drive!We know you will have an amazing stay in our home. We always do.Access - The house is on a slope with stairs and a dirt path to reach the main door. During the snow months, this path can get snow covered, slippery and difficult. While we have a snow removal service, there could be a delay in clearing during heavy storms. About the cabin:As you walk in the door, you are welcomed by refinished original hardwood floors throughout, a cozy living room with a large sectional, a gas fireplace, 65” TV, and massive picture windows with views of pines. Walk down the hall to the master bedroom with a comfy king bed and large his/hers closets across from one of the bathrooms. The magazine worthy kitchen, with custom alder cabinetry and marble countertops, is next to the dining room. The adjoining dining area comfortably seats 8 and boasts a bar and beverage fridge.The sliding barn door in the dining room takes you to the upstairs level with a queen bedroom next to a den with a queen bed, couch and electric fireplace.A newly renovated one bedroom apartment with a separate AND conjoining entrance has a full kitchen, full bath, and separate washer/dryer on the bottom level. Perfect separate space for grandparents, a couple, or anyone who wants a little extra privacy (pictures coming soon).The house has three floors. The main floor (with kitchen, living area and dining room) has the master bedroom with king bed across from a full bathroom. Upstairs, there is a bedroom with a queen bed and when you step out of that bedroom, you are in the den area with another queen bed. You have to walk through one to get to the other. On the bottom level, there is separate living area with a queen bedroom, bathroom be full kitchen. This gives the opportunity for some extra privacy- it has a separate entrance and has the option to connect to the main house through an indoor stairwell. Could be used as in-law quarters!During the summer, enjoy a spacious flat yard with a large patio, hot tub, gas fire pit, outdoor dining area, gas barbeque and yard games.About the area:Outdoor enthusiasts will love the easy access to beautiful beaches with paddle board, kayak, parasailing and jet-ski rentals in walking distance. Head out the front door and straight down the street to the golf course and three lakefront beach volleyball courts. Or head out the back door and up the street to connect to North Tahoe Regional Park, which offers hiking and mountain biking trails, disc golf course, olympic sized turf field, two playgrounds with swings, tennis courts, and Treetop Adventure Park.In the winter months, Northstar California Resort is a 12 minute drive where you can enjoy over 3,000 skiable acres in the majestic Martis Valley with a variety of slopes to suit every level of skier.
