Five Star lodge in the Amazon. Stayed here for four days, three nights with my family. We got two bungalows and they were comfortable/equipped with mosquito nets and mosquito repellent (citronella oil). The water is the bathroom can get surprisingly hot and there are flashlights also provided. It was a 20 minute shuttle ride from the airport and a 20 minute ride downriver to arrive at the hotel. They only allow one piece of luggage so any larger items can be left in their office by the airport, and then when they drop you back off at the airport, you can collect your bag then. Some quick notes: Breakfast: 5:30am-9am Dinner: 7:30pm - 9pm No need to make a reservation. Electricity from 5:30am - 3pm and again from 5:30pm-around 11pm. There’s happy hour (2 for 1). There is WiFi only in the lounge. Dining The menu did stay the same for lunch but alternated for dinner. Nevertheless, we had good variety. For example, in one meal, I ordered palmitos, chaufa, and flan and then for another I had quinoa cakes and chicken with broccoli and Brazil nut purée, and chocolate tart; then yet for another I got chicken tamal, chicken salad, and mango mousse. There are gluten-free and vegetarian friendly options. The drinks aren’t included in the price so I’d suggest taking advantage of happy hour. Overall, a good spot to stay if you’re looking to relax but see nature.
