Blue Sky Guesthouse

I had a generous room which included a private bathroom and toilet. It had hot cold ac. Tea making, towels, small satellite channel TV, Tanami mat beddiry warm and quiet. Location is good for trail walkers as 5 minutes from Hongu taisha shrine and restaurants and supermarket. They have free washing facilities and small fee dryers. Cooking facilities available. I opted for dinner and breakfast. I stayed 3 nights, and each meal was different and tasty. No complaints there. Lots of information available and the host very busy but will always help you. It's not a large place so you must book. I highly recommend it.

This was, hands down, the best stay we have had in Japan. The host was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, the room was clean and comfortable, and the food was great. We pre-ordered dinner for our stay and also ate breakfast, both of which were delivered to our rooms at set times, making planning easy. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.

Very kind and polite service provided by the owner. The location is great for day trips reaching several interesting sites in the area.

A great experience staying in a Japanese style accommodation. The owner very helpful and the breakfast served in room was lovely. We ordered a meal for the first night and this was delivered to our room which meant we didn't have to go out again looking for restaurants. The bus stop and Food store 5 minutes walk away, check opening times and days.

We arrived slightly before check in time and they were able to check us in regardless. They were also very accomodating in helping us transfer our luggage to our next nights lodging which we very much appreciated. The room was a spacious clean Japanese style room as we had requested. We enjoyed the common room and the books, maps and other literature provided for guests. The shared kitchen and laundry seemed simple but adequate even though we did not need to use them. The location was perfect for us as the primary goal of our visit was the Kumano Kodu trail and the local bus stop was a five minute walk from this location.

Blue Sky Guesthouse was a highlight for us. The host was hospitable and the accommodation was extremely clean. Everything had been thought of. We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was especially good. Steve and Alison Australia
