Raj Resorts is an old small private property owned by a teacher, Mr Bahuguna. Hence the presence of a 2 level private garden, which could easily be utilised to grow vegetables required by all the guests. There's a Yoga Hall, with its rooftop, and a 24 hour flowing sound of a water rushing down towards the river. There's a cafetaria style restaurant too. Both the Yoga Hall and Cafe cum Restaurant, was closed for maintenance due to rains, at the time of visit. We got a very attractive Bed & Breakfast deal for 3 of us, for 2 weekdays and 1 Saturday, in a standard AC room. But was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a spacious Hut. The available staff - esp. the manager Mr Satyendra Kaushik - is very friendly and helpful, and always ready to make you feel comfortable. The woman who cleaned the rooms was very very thorough and meticulous, and deserved appreciation. Masala morning Chai was too good. Breakfast was item based, well cooked, tasty, and had generous serving size. But frankly I didn't expect many choices. But was offered at least 5 options to choose from. We chose Double omlettes, Poori Bhaji and Aloo Parathas on different days. The parathas were too good and filling too! We didn't buy Lunch and Dinner, as there were too many options around the locality. The only issue I felt was that the property needed maintenance, both by physical, as well as through number of staff. However due to limited staff available at the time of visit, they just needed a little appreciation, soft push and follow ups every day, to make your stay more comfortable. Overall, a nice budget, yet decent stay we'd like to repeat in the coming months, esp. on way to Badrinath and Kedarnath.
