This stay was hindered by the lift being out of order for the 4 days we were there. The room was spotless as usual, we had a room at the rear of the hotel which suited us better it was quieter. There was quite a few inconsiderate guests this visit, it is Christmas so we expected some party goers but noisy good-night and plans made to meet for breakfast from 12.30 through to 4am stopped any hope of sleep. The other three nights were fine as usual. There was also an issue parking due to a Christmas party. Hotel patrons should have priority, perhaps each room having parking allocation would help. We will be staying again in the not to distant future as the location is ideal for us.

Vert friendly welcome, the reception area was spotlessly clean. Our room was ready, it was also spotlessly clean and everything I required was at hand. We had a blocked sink on our 2nd day, it was all sorted by the time we returned to our room. The hotel decor is a little dated but that was no matter. We will definitely stay again.

Myself and my partner have stayed here a few times when we visit family in Wakefield. We always find the staff friendly and approachable. Rooms are clean and cosy. They have a bar and serve amazing food. I also love visiting Newmillerdam which is a few minutes walk.

Staff here are very nice and friendly and make you feel very welcomed, the rooms are very nice stayed here for over a week and a half and enjoyed every night and will definitely be coming back, thankyou dani and Amelia

The hotel is in an excellent location, near to quite a few great days out. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Our room was quiet and very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. All in all a very pleasant stay and we will return in the future.

As it was fully booked online I called to see if they could get us in but they were fully booked later that day they called back with a cancellation which was excellent. Good location for newmillardam. The staff were excellent. The Room was clean but very hot. The bed was comfortable. The buffet breakfast was good but not hot enough for me.

A basic but clean hotel from this well known brand. It has all you need for a night away from home. Staff very friendly and helpful. The over bath shower was both powerful and hot and very clean. Breakfast was more than adequate. If you are in the Wakefield area, this is well worth considering as a place to stay. The only negative - room was very hot and there is no in-room air conditioning! Front desk staff did offer a free standing fan, which was good.
