"J'ai dû renvoyer les steaks car ils étaient encore vivants malgré la demande de bien cuits. Ils ont été refaits et sont revenus durs comme de l'eau de roche. Pour être honnête, la dame a offert une glace à notre enfant en guise d'excuse. Le petit-déjeuner était une blague : il manquait des ingrédients et les produits étaient secs ou brûlés. Le « chef » était absent pour demander des produits frais. Pas de fruits et le bacon était comme de l'ardoise. Je fréquente souvent le Premier Inn, mais la nourriture était de loin la pire que nous ayons jamais servie. Le personnel était plutôt sympathique, mais il y en avait beaucoup trop peu. Je n'y retournerai pas à cause de la nourriture, mais j'ai bien dormi."

"Tucked right along the road between Mey Castle and Thurso, Celtic Lodge is a charming little inn made up of three newly built cabanas. Each one features a cosy living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom, and two bedrooms — one with a full-size bed, the other with a twin. The cabins are spotless and beautifully maintained: not a speck of dust, no damp, no chipped paint — everything feels fresh, modern, and just right. A thoughtful touch: the owner had left a bottle of milk in the fridge, ready for our arrival. We slept in late and enjoyed a quiet breakfast (we brought our own supplies), watching a deer wander just outside the kitchen window."

"Overall it was very reasonable and very good. However, parking is on the street, so it was a little difficult for first-timers. How to find a place and how to park. So I asked people walking by and they said it was perfect. You can park your car from 5 p.m. until morning, but it seems impossible to park near double yellow lines or in front of people's houses. There was a bar right next door (some?), and there were various food shops nearby. Chinese, Indian, fish and chips. I think there was also a steak restaurant that sold venison. The backyard that I could see from my room was also very peaceful and nice. If I had time, I would like to take it easy. The ferry port for the Auckland Islands was about a 15 minute drive away. A company called North Link? There were three flights a day."
