When staying at the hotel we couldn’t fault it. Children stay free if sharing a room, and we had booked to visit Efteling. We didn’t realise but our stay coincided with carnival, for this reason I think we were allocated a room at the back of the hotel (as I can imagine those front facing would be very noisy - there is a huge stage directly in front of the hotel at this time, as well as many food vans and outside bars etc - not that any of this worried us). So our room was on the 5th floor at the rear with a direct view of the multi story car park! (But we didn’t book for a view!). The room was well equipped with a comfy bed and a seperate shower and toilet. Everything was very clean. The only issue I would say regarding the rooms is that they were very dark so it was hard to see your items in the wardrobe. Not a big deal! The staff on reception were really helpful and chatty, and gave us lots of advice. It’s super easy to reach Efteling from here, we walked to the coach station (just by the train station) and there were regular buses. Again children travel free. You could walk to the station in about 10-15 mins. The shopping streets are very close to the hotel, and nice for a stroll - plenty of places to eat etc. we enjoyed backwerk bakery just a couple of shops down from the hotel, they did fresh smoothies and juices and lovely fresh sandwiches. Perfect for brunch/lunch. There is a Taco Bell next to the hotel! My son wanted to try it but we didn’t get chance! The issue for us came out check out, our flight wasn’t until the evening so we asked to use the secure luggage room for our case so we could enjoy our last day. We came back to the hotel to pick up our bag, and make our way to the airport. I was let in to the luggage room to get our case, but it had gone. The staff didn’t know what to do, apart from check and speak to other staff members. Eventually I asked to see the manager as we really needed to leave (fortunately we had been sensible and kept our passports and money etc on us). And I was asking for something in writing to say they had “lost” our case - as I didn’t feel comfortable just leaving with no proof (they also wanted to take the luggage receipts - I think because they wanted to figure out what had happened). The manager was “checking the CCTV” but upon our second request did come out and see us. She did apologise for the case going missing (after a long time!! More hearing about how strange this was?!?) and said if it “wasn’t found” they would replace it. At this point I was getting concerned about travelling home without any of our things, especially with my son, for example some warmer clothes, his switch!! I felt the customer service here was lacking, there was no gesture here - could they assist us getting to the airport for example - She did offer to go to the shop but by this point we were cutting it so fine to get to the airport / which we said to her! Walgelijk geldbeluste kerstconcept. Enkele jaren geleden hadden we zo'n goede ervaringen bij Wegrestaurant Gilze Rijen. Daar kon je tijdens de kerst telkens a la carte kiezen uit smakelijke gerechtjes. . Maar helaas die is weg, dus dan maar Tilburg geprobeerd. Totaal niet te vergelijken! Hier voor 72,50 pp een massaal eenvoudig buffet diner (met standaard drankjes) in een eetfabriek. En dat met kerst?!!?! Verschrikkelijk. Om zoveel mogelijk mensen kwijt te kunnen en uit te melken was het opgezet in meerdere sessies. Maar zelfs dat was niet genoeg. Toen onze sessie aan de beurt zat blijkbaar het restaurant vol. We werden in een soort felbelicht vergaderzaal gepropt met vele anderen. Totaal geen charme/en sfeerloos. Vervolgens konden we in een overdruk zaaltje telkens ons eten opscheppen . Er werd ook vlees en zalm klaargemaakt op bestelling, maar die rijen waren enorm. De rest erg eenvoudig :spagetti, gehaktballetjes, frietjes etc. Ja er was ook soms ergens gerookte zalm en sushi te vinden (als het was aangevuld). Maar die sushi leek zo uit de supermarkt te komen.. zelfs de tubetjes sojasaus. Zeer weinig keuze en smaakte niet. Wij waren me ons gezin 507,50 kwijt (7 pers). Die moest je overigens vooruitbetalen en je kon niet anuleren. Het was me niet eens 200 euro waard. Het was allemaal zo verschrikkelijk dat we in januari al bij een echt restaurant reserveerde. Want dit willen we nooit meer mee maken!!!!!

We have previously stayed at the Ibis Tilburg and our stays have been good. This particular incident is very disappointing. My husband & I are traveling from Norway to Portugal and have planned our route & hotels. We chose the Ibis brand due to it being cost effective, clean, well staffed & pet friendly. We are traveling 9 days all Ibis hotels. Upon going over our Itineraries, I noticed that one of the dates were wrong. I’m sure it was something as simple as a fat finger but I immediately made contact with the hotel. Here is where the story gets interesting. I spoke with a young girl via email. She informed me that because I bought it online and it was paid that there was nothing that we can do. I did not buy a “flex” room?. In my defense, I did go back and look and it was quite confusing as to flex or non flex. I’ve never bought a flex. I’ve never had a problem in any hotel. I travel a lot. Now mind you all I’m asking for is to change the date to June 25 from June 26. I don’t want a refund & I’m willing to pay extra and we went back-and-forth several times each time I asked who is the property manager no response. Finally when I informed them that I am going to talk to corporate and write a review, I start getting emails from the front of the house property manager. He informed me that it’s not “fair” If he was to help us, but if I wanted to sell my room to someone and change the name that they would do that well that’s not what I’m looking for. The email exchange was absurd and repetitive. I have since found out that the Ibis is a franchise. So each Ibis has different rules and regulations. Well I have since booked with another Ibis hotel and I am very pleased. No, I’m not looking for anything for free but I think if you are in the hospitality business that you should provide hospitality. The tone of the emails and just the uncooperative attitude has soured me on this brand. I feel as they could have made this situation which was a mistake and there would be no financial consequence to the hotel that they could’ve actually helped us. This particular franchise in Tilburg is unwilling to break the rules, (he also told me it didn’t matter if there was illness or a fat finger, rules are rules) and everything to them was black & white. I live in the gray & sometime you have to help your guests, again there would be no financial loss to them. They did offer that I could buy another room, and of course they would keep my money from the wrong date, I chose to find a new hotel, and I highly would never recommend this facility for any travel to anyone. DO better Tilburg

Perfect for brunch/lunch. There is a Taco Bell next to the hotel! My son wanted to try it but we didn’t get chance! The issue for us came out check out, our flight wasn’t until the evening so we asked to use the secure luggage room for our case so we could enjoy our last day. We came back to the hotel to pick up our bag, and make our way to the airport. I was let in to the luggage room to get our case, but it had gone. The staff didn’t know what to do, apart from check and speak to other staff members. Eventually I asked to see the manager as we really needed to leave (fortunately we had been sensible and kept our passports and money etc on us). And I was asking for something in writing to say they had “lost” our case - as I didn’t feel comfortable just leaving with no proof (they also wanted to take the luggage receipts - I think because they wanted to figure out what had happened). The manager was “checking the CCTV” but upon our second request did come out and see us. She did apologise for the case going missing (after a long time!! More hearing about how strange this was?!?) and said if it “wasn’t found” they would replace it. At this point I was getting concerned about travelling home without any of our things, especially with my son, for example some warmer clothes, his switch!! I felt the customer service here was lacking, there was no gesture here - could they assist us getting to the airport for example - She did offer to go to the shop but by this point we were cutting it so fine to get to the airport / which we said to her! Om zoveel mogelijk mensen kwijt te kunnen en uit te melken was het opgezet in meerdere sessies. Maar zelfs dat was niet genoeg. Toen onze sessie aan de beurt zat blijkbaar het restaurant vol. We werden in een soort felbelicht vergaderzaal gepropt met vele anderen. Totaal geen charme/en sfeerloos. Vervolgens konden we in een overdruk zaaltje telkens ons eten opscheppen . Er werd ook vlees en zalm klaargemaakt op bestelling, maar die rijen waren enorm. De rest erg eenvoudig :spagetti, gehaktballetjes, frietjes etc. Ja er was ook soms ergens gerookte zalm en sushi te vinden (als het was aangevuld). Maar die sushi leek zo uit de supermarkt te komen.. zelfs de tubetjes sojasaus. Zeer weinig keuze en smaakte niet. Wij waren me ons gezin 507,50 kwijt (7 pers). Die moest je overigens vooruitbetalen en je kon niet anuleren. Het was me niet eens 200 euro waard. Het was allemaal zo verschrikkelijk dat we in januari al bij een echt restaurant reserveerde. Want dit willen we nooit meer mee maken!!!!!

We have previously stayed at the Ibis Tilburg and our stays have been good. This particular incident is very disappointing. My husband & I are traveling from Norway to Portugal and have planned our route & hotels. We chose the Ibis brand due to it being cost effective, clean, well staffed & pet friendly. We are traveling 9 days all Ibis hotels. Upon going over our Itineraries, I noticed that one of the dates were wrong. I’m sure it was something as simple as a fat finger but I immediately made contact with the hotel. Here is where the story gets interesting. I spoke with a young girl via email. She informed me that because I bought it online and it was paid that there was nothing that we can do. I did not buy a “flex” room?. In my defense, I did go back and look and it was quite confusing as to flex or non flex. I’ve never bought a flex. I’ve never had a problem in any hotel. I travel a lot. Now mind you all I’m asking for is to change the date to June 25 from June 26. I don’t want a refund & I’m willing to pay extra and we went back-and-forth several times each time I asked who is the property manager no response. Finally when I informed them that I am going to talk to corporate and write a review, I start getting emails from the front of the house property manager. He informed me that it’s not “fair” If he was to help us, but if I wanted to sell my room to someone and change the name that they would do that well that’s not what I’m looking for. The email exchange was absurd and repetitive. I have since found out that the Ibis is a franchise. So each Ibis has different rules and regulations. Well I have since booked with another Ibis hotel and I am very pleased. No, I’m not looking for anything for free but I think if you are in the hospitality business that you should provide hospitality. The tone of the emails and just the uncooperative attitude has soured me on this brand. I feel as they could have made this situation which was a mistake and there would be no financial consequence to the hotel that they could’ve actually helped us. This particular franchise in Tilburg is unwilling to break the rules, (he also told me it didn’t matter if there was illness or a fat finger, rules are rules) and everything to them was black & white. I live in the gray & sometime you have to help your guests, again there would be no financial loss to them. When staying at the hotel we couldn’t fault it. Children stay free if sharing a room, and we had booked to visit Efteling. We didn’t realise but our stay coincided with carnival, for this reason I think we were allocated a room at the back of the hotel (as I can imagine those front facing would be very noisy - there is a huge stage directly in front of the hotel at this time, as well as many food vans and outside bars etc - not that any of this worried us). So our room was on the 5th floor at the rear with a direct view of the multi story car park! (But we didn’t book for a view!). The room was well equipped with a comfy bed and a seperate shower and toilet. Everything was very clean. The only issue I would say regarding the rooms is that they were very dark so it was hard to see your items in the wardrobe. Not a big deal! The staff on reception were really helpful and chatty, and gave us lots of advice. It’s super easy to reach Efteling from here, we walked to the coach station (just by the train station) and there were regular buses. Again children travel free. You could walk to the station in about 10-15 mins. The shopping streets are very close to the hotel, and nice for a stroll - plenty of places to eat etc. we enjoyed backwerk bakery just a couple of shops down from the hotel, they did fresh smoothies and juices and lovely fresh sandwiches. Now mind you all I’m asking for is to change the date to June 25 from June 26. I don’t want a refund & I’m willing to pay extra and we went back-and-forth several times each time I asked who is the property manager no response. Finally when I informed them that I am going to talk to corporate and write a review, I start getting emails from the front of the house property manager. He informed me that it’s not “fair” If he was to help us, but if I wanted to sell my room to someone and change the name that they would do that well that’s not what I’m looking for. The email exchange was absurd and repetitive. I have since found out that the Ibis is a franchise. So each Ibis has different rules and regulations. Well I have since booked with another Ibis hotel and I am very pleased. No, I’m not looking for anything for free but I think if you are in the hospitality business that you should provide hospitality. The tone of the emails and just the uncooperative attitude has soured me on this brand. I feel as they could have made this situation which was a mistake and there would be no financial consequence to the hotel that they could’ve actually helped us. You could walk to the station in about 10-15 mins. The shopping streets are very close to the hotel, and nice for a stroll - plenty of places to eat etc. we enjoyed backwerk bakery just a couple of shops down from the hotel, they did fresh smoothies and juices and lovely fresh sandwiches. hôtel daté à un endroit central du centre-ville. Idéal pour faire des courses et pour sortir. C'est aussi immédiatement le plus désavantage de l'hôtel. Très beaucoup de bruit de l'extérieur par le trafic, les personnes ”heureuses” et les bruits basses profonds de la rue de fête remplis de terrasses où l'hôtel est situé. Vous trouvez cela très bien et ne vous imposez pas de exigences élevées à un hôtel alors c'est une excellente option. La chambre d'hôtel, la salle de bains et le petit-déjeuner sont propres. Le reste est une gloire épuisée. Le petit-déjeuner est raisonnable. Rien de particulier mais suffisant. En tout cas, il est possible de faire le meilleur pour une nuit.

C'était un auberge propre et confortable. Le personnel était confortable, et l'atmosphère était agréable. Perfect pour un week-end avec des amis. L'auberge (studio) était propre et tout ce que vous avez besoin pour un week-end ou une nuit était là. Une chambre privée est vraiment recommandée

Peu d'hôtels à Tilburg, le Bastion est excentré et une voiture est indispensable pour le centre ville un petit peu animé. Nous y avons séjourné 3 fois depuis 2022. Bel immeuble récent, parking gratuit sur place. Restaurant possible. Grandes chambres bien équipées (le chauffage climatisation est souvent en panne). Lits doubles de 90 ou grand lit... Le grand lit c'est en réalité 2 lits doubles côte à côte et un surmatelas. Tout cet assemblage de literie bouge et c'est peu confortable absence de drap housse, pas terrible... Ni bouteille d'eau ni accessoire de toilette fournis. Apportez votre gel douche! Propreté discutable (poussières, cheveux, filtration salle de bain bouchée par la poussière...) On est loin d'un 4*... Mais comme il y a peu de choix abordables pour cette petite ville, c'est le Bastion qui reste dans nos prix. Attention le site direct de l'hôtel est plus cher que les offres des grossistes en ligne.

Walgelijk geldbeluste kerstconcept. Enkele jaren geleden hadden we zo'n goede ervaringen bij Wegrestaurant Gilze Rijen. Daar kon je tijdens de kerst telkens a la carte kiezen uit smakelijke gerechtjes. . Maar helaas die is weg, dus dan maar Tilburg geprobeerd. Totaal niet te vergelijken! Hier voor 72,50 pp een massaal eenvoudig buffet diner (met standaard drankjes) in een eetfabriek. En dat met kerst?!!?! Verschrikkelijk. Om zoveel mogelijk mensen kwijt te kunnen en uit te melken was het opgezet in meerdere sessies. Maar zelfs dat was niet genoeg. Toen onze sessie aan de beurt zat blijkbaar het restaurant vol. We werden in een soort felbelicht vergaderzaal gepropt met vele anderen. Totaal geen charme/en sfeerloos. Vervolgens konden we in een overdruk zaaltje telkens ons eten opscheppen . Er werd ook vlees en zalm klaargemaakt op bestelling, maar die rijen waren enorm. De rest erg eenvoudig :spagetti, gehaktballetjes, frietjes etc. Ja er was ook soms ergens gerookte zalm en sushi te vinden (als het was aangevuld). Maar die sushi leek zo uit de supermarkt te komen.. zelfs de tubetjes sojasaus. Zeer weinig keuze en smaakte niet. Wij waren me ons gezin 507,50 kwijt (7 pers). Die moest je overigens vooruitbetalen en je kon niet anuleren. Het was me niet eens 200 euro waard. Het was allemaal zo verschrikkelijk dat we in januari al bij een echt restaurant reserveerde. Want dit willen we nooit meer mee maken!!!!!

When staying at the hotel we couldn’t fault it. Children stay free if sharing a room, and we had booked to visit Efteling. We didn’t realise but our stay coincided with carnival, for this reason I think we were allocated a room at the back of the hotel (as I can imagine those front facing would be very noisy - there is a huge stage directly in front of the hotel at this time, as well as many food vans and outside bars etc - not that any of this worried us). So our room was on the 5th floor at the rear with a direct view of the multi story car park! (But we didn’t book for a view!). The room was well equipped with a comfy bed and a seperate shower and toilet. Everything was very clean. The only issue I would say regarding the rooms is that they were very dark so it was hard to see your items in the wardrobe. Not a big deal! The staff on reception were really helpful and chatty, and gave us lots of advice. It’s super easy to reach Efteling from here, we walked to the coach station (just by the train station) and there were regular buses. Again children travel free. You could walk to the station in about 10-15 mins. The shopping streets are very close to the hotel, and nice for a stroll - plenty of places to eat etc. we enjoyed backwerk bakery just a couple of shops down from the hotel, they did fresh smoothies and juices and lovely fresh sandwiches. Perfect for brunch/lunch. There is a Taco Bell next to the hotel! My son wanted to try it but we didn’t get chance! The issue for us came out check out, our flight wasn’t until the evening so we asked to use the secure luggage room for our case so we could enjoy our last day. We came back to the hotel to pick up our bag, and make our way to the airport. I was let in to the luggage room to get our case, but it had gone. The staff didn’t know what to do, apart from check and speak to other staff members. Eventually I asked to see the manager as we really needed to leave (fortunately we had been sensible and kept our passports and money etc on us). And I was asking for something in writing to say they had “lost” our case - as I didn’t feel comfortable just leaving with no proof (they also wanted to take the luggage receipts - I think because they wanted to figure out what had happened). The manager was “checking the CCTV” but upon our second request did come out and see us. She did apologise for the case going missing (after a long time!! More hearing about how strange this was?!?) and said if it “wasn’t found” they would replace it. At this point I was getting concerned about travelling home without any of our things, especially with my son, for example some warmer clothes, his switch!! I felt the customer service here was lacking, there was no gesture here - could they assist us getting to the airport for example - She did offer to go to the shop but by this point we were cutting it so fine to get to the airport / which we said to her! We have no time now! It was very disappointing a
