NormanHurst Hotel

Bien que le prix de la chambre soit bas, nous avons eu l'impression qu'il était encore en dessous de nos attentes raisonnables, les chambres avaient l'air fatiguées, il ne semblait pas y avoir de protège-matelas sur le lit, ce qui signifiait que les taches sur le matelas étaient visibles, le drap de lit lui-même avait une tache qui avait l'air plutôt désagréable, ce qui donnait l'impression qu'il n'était pas propre ou qu'il ne partait pas au lavage (ce qui signifierait logiquement qu'il ne faut pas l'utiliser), l'eau (douche) était très lente à se réchauffer à une température raisonnable malgré le peu de personnes qui l'utilisaient au moment où nous utilisions la salle de bain. (6h45 dimanche). Le porte-rouleau de papier toilette manquait, la fenêtre extérieure ne semblait pas se verrouiller correctement, il serait très facile d'y accéder de l'extérieur malgré qu'elle soit « verrouillée ». Je ne choisirais pas de séjourner à nouveau ici.

Personne sur le point de s'enregistrer à l'arrivée La première chambre a une salle de bain inondée, et mon petit-fils a été interrogé pour savoir s'il en était la cause. On venait tout juste de lui montrer la chambre. La deuxième chambre n'a pas de fuite, mais le siège des toilettes est suspendu et le miroir est sale. J'ai également signalé à la réception. Je ne suis pas inquiet. Le petit-déjeuner pour 2 adultes était inclus, selon la facture... Options... continental/anglais complet/irlandais/végétarien. On nous dit ensuite que seul le continental était inclus, à récupérer à la réception et que nous devons payer 6 £ de plus par personne pour le petit-déjeuner anglais complet. La facture ne le précise PAS. Le matin, ils n'avaient plus de produits non laitiers. Ils ont ensuite facturé à mon petit-fils 10,99 £ pour son petit-déjeuner sans lait/boisson chaude/yaourt. Absolument épouvantable. Personne ne semblait être responsable, le personnel haussait les épaules et semblait ne pas comprendre ce qui était dit ou les points soulevés. J'ai choisi cet hôtel car le petit-déjeuner était inclus, car j'avais un départ matinal et un long trajet en voiture. J'ai dû manger plus tard le matin à nouveau parce que j'avais faim. L'ensemble du bâtiment a besoin d'une sérieuse rénovation, le seul point intéressant était les portes des chambres qui semblent avoir été rénovées. Attention à la publicité mensongère... concernant le petit-déjeuner !

Room is clean and very good bf and I suggest people need to travel to Manchester Airport in the morning as the hotel is nearby AIrport.

First of all, the good bits. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, giving me an upgrade on my room, helping to carry my luggage and showing me to the room, all without being asked. The room was a little tired in places, but otherwise big, nice and clean, good bathroom and well equipped (including microwave, fridge, iron and trouser press). The bed was comfortable and I had a reasonable night sleep. Now for the not so good. The outside is very shabby (the photos on-line are from better days), some of the corridors are also shabby and dirty. Some of the staff were busy tidying the garden (great), however cutting tree stumps with a chainsaw beyond 7:30pm isn’t particularly relaxing for the guests. Perhaps it would have been better to work on some quieter activities, like picking up litter in the carpark and weeding the very untidy flowerbeds under the annex windows and save the chainsaw work for the next day before check in time. The lads on a very noisy motorbike, visiting a guest a number of times during the evening and then leaving at 1 AM while revving the bike vigorously in the carpark and laughing loudly, then thundering up and down Brooklands Road while repeatedly sounding the horn isn’t great for the other guest’s sleep (or the neighbours). Improved and proactive security would also therefore be a good idea. A kettle in the bedroom would also have been good as heating mugs of water in the microwave could be dangerous.

The room is little bit small and shower water not strong but hot enough, bed clean and no smell

Stayed here a few times now, quiet hotel but near to all local shops and transport links to Manchester city centre and the airport. Rooms are warm, with a fan in the cupboard if needed, plenty of tea and coffee provided, mini fridge and microwave too 👍 my shower wasn't the best on this stay but not the end of the world tbh.
