Mozambeat Motel

Mozambeat Motel is definitely a fun place to stay if you are here with a group of friends or if you are here during high season (which tends to be April, August and December). It has an ideal set up for meeting new people, having a few drinks, and having fun. Highlights of staying here would most definitely be the rooms, which are clean, spacious and some of them have air con which was an absolute luxury as not many places do! The food for lunch and dinner is delicious, and the staff are friendly and kind - shoutout to Raphael who was fantastic whilst I was there! The biggest downside is the location - it's a 15-20minute walk outside of town along unlit and sometimes sandy backstreets. As a female solo traveller I didn't feel comfortable walking these roads alone at night, so I could never hang around in town past sundown (it was very Cinderella-esque). The pool isn't as big as it's made out to be in the picture (probably not a huge surprise) and music could sometimes play until late, so if you're staying close to the common area it could keep you up at night.

Stayed for 4 days on this lovely property. It was a bit further than we thought from the beach, but still a great spot to stay. It's safe to walk to the beach and back any time of the day. The service was great, Calros and his team was outstanding. The amenities on the sprawling property are great. Rooms were perfect and loved the outside shower/bathroom. Beds are comfy and hot showers were spot on. More you can't ask for. Value for money was exceptional.

Fair rooms Beautiful surroundings and pool However certain staff especially management are rude. Breakfast is minimal and limited. Food very average. Loud music is playing till late evening could be disturbing if you want to have a good night's sleep.

This hotel totally rocked my expectations! It's not your average boring spot – imagine disco balls above the pool, an EscoBar, a cool lounge upstairs, and killer music vibes. Friday night? Yep, they throw a little party too! Don't come expecting fancy dining, but the local, fresh eats are on point and won't break the bank. Make sure to grab the samosas – they're a game-changer! Big shoutout to the super friendly and chill staff, especially Sisi, Ray, and the whole crew. Thanks for an awesome stay – I'm definitely coming back for more! 🤘

Mozambeats is definitely the place to be when staying in Tofo, the staff and owners are super friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home. Other than that, Mozambeats is great when you are travelling with friends or family with a big pool and chilling areas , or solo because of their weekend parties you get to meet a lot of people. The pool vibes are immaculate. It is just a short walk away from the local market and beach but when staying at Mozambeats you don’t have to go anywhere else for a great time.
