Il Belvedere

What a lovely boutique hotel. The staff was extremely friendly, kind, accommodating and helpful. Our son was on a knee scooter due to an injury prior to the trip. The hotel isn’t easily accessible if you have mobility issues however they make every effort to help you when you arrive. They picked up my son at the top of the hill and drove him down the steps to arrive at the hotel. They provided us with ice when needed and even helped us make a nice birthday celebration for him. They gave us recommendations of places that were “flat” where he would be able to visit on the ferry. Thank you to all who helped make this a special trip!

We had such a great stay here. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the views are just beautiful. It sits on a small piazza which has a couple of bars and restaurants on it, all right on the lake. There’s a ferry stop just in front of the hotel which is a huge plus as getting around by car is quite time consuming. The food in their restaurant was excellent and Ciara and all the team were so welcoming and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is really lovely and sits directly on Lake Como. You get gorgeous views of the sunset, it’s so dreamy. Getting there is tricky. Don’t try to drive down to the hotel. Park in front of the city building if you can, walk down and have them take you to their parking lot and help you get your luggage down to the hotel. If you are disabled in any way I would find another place to stay. It’s just not handicap accessible. Once you get a handle on where to park and the like, it’s fine, but finding it is difficult. The staff is so helpful and kind - Ali, Chiara, and all the staff in the restaurant are just the best people. So welcoming, so hospitable. We were grateful for all of their assistance! The restaurant is delicious and really well-priced for the quality. Don’t think twice about eating dinner there. You’ll love it. Our room was as described, and well appointed. The TV really only shows German stations so that was frustrating but not a big deal. It does get very warm, though, and the thermostat doesn’t work very well. There are big windows that can be opened, but it’s not a great solution as the outside is pretty noisy. Which brings me to the things I didn’t love. I booked this hotel because of its direct access to the ferry terminal for Torno. Sadly the dock is closed for renovations and based on how we watched the workers, it’s not getting finished for another couple of months. I wish we’d known this, as it was a bummer to be stuck there for dinner or not be able to explore the lake like we’d hoped. Also this work contributed to the noise. Between the other hotel guests, the church bells 50 feet away, and the dock workers, you’re not sleeping in. Bring a white noise machine or ear plugs, you’ll need it. I imagine in the summer the hotel is busy with guests from everywhere and it’s a lot of fun. Just be prepared for noise and room temperatures. Have fun!

Hotel Belvedere was beautiful! We booked a last minute break and got the only remaining room. Communication with the hotel was easy and they came to meet us to park the car and check in to the hotel. Torno is a small town, on the lake there is the hotel with its restaurant as well as a cafe/bar another bar and an additional restaurant. There is also a ferry stop right outside the hotel which is great for town hopping. There is also a bus stop nearby. The hotel is modern clean and beautiful. Our room didn’t have a view but was very spacious. The ladies on reception kindly helped us to book a boat rental which they arranged to collect us directly from the hotel. Como is only 10 mins drive away. Would definitely recommend. Also…you can see the Versace villa across the lake from the breakfast room.

Abbiamo pranzato su una terrazza con vista splendida . Piatti molto curati e cucinati ottimamente. Ben fatto anche il nostro piatto del lago : riso in cagnun con pesce persico. Da consigliare il dolce al cioccolato. Ottima la carta dei vini , anche di livello molto alto . Servizio buono ed amichevole. Unico neo il prezzo un pò alto

Il locale e’ molto bello, romantica la vista sul lago e il servizio molto curato! ogni piatto e’ stato apprezzatissimo e anche il vino ottimo, ci ritorneremo sicuramente la prossima estate e porteremo amici
