Elmdene

What a fantastic stay at Trevor and Kims Bed and Breakfast. From start to finish we were made very welcome and felt like part of there family. Trevor helped us up to our room with our cases and what a lovely room we were allocated. Large spacious room, fantastic decor, spotlessly clean, we had an added bonus of a living room with a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Ensuite bathroom with shower and washing extras. There is a great bar area with seating, you can write down what you have had to drink and pay for it when you pay your bill. Breakfast was fabulous, a great choice of items and you could have anything on the menu that you wanted and lovingly cooked by Kim, Trevor was the waiter (LOL). There is a lovely front conservatory to the front of the B&B with a very well kept garden area, on site parking and close to the train station. A 10 minute walk through the Abbey to get to the town. It was my birthday while we stayed and we came back from town to a lovely surprise of a birthday card and a bottle of bubbly. It was also Easter and we were left an Easter Egg each and a lovely note. And on returning from another outing we had been left home made scones with jam and cream. So we would just like to say THANK YOU BOTH so much Trevor and Kim for making our stay memorable. We go to the Elmdene every year and it never disappoints. The rooms are immaculate and the breakfasts are amazing. Kim and Trevor are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. If you go to Torquay you won't find a better place to stay, we thoroughly recommend it.

Comfortable, quiet, clean and immaculately kept. Very friendly, good service and great cooked breakfast. Comfortable clean beds, tea and coffee provided and honesty bar downstairs. I was even given a freshly made scone on my way out. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for the third time, it was just as good as we remembered. Kim and Trev are fabulous hosts who are very welcoming and friendly, they can't do enough for you. The hotel is beautifully decorated and kitted out and also very clean. The breakfast was really nice and there was lots of choice. We are vegan and was well catered for. Torquay is a vibrant city with many bars and restaurants and it is also a great base to visit other places in Devon. We would highly recommend The Elmdene, book early as it often gets full!

Absolutely first class stay in every respect! The location, the hosts, rooms and breakfast were outstanding . The welcome and genuine customer service we received throughout our stay (3 nights) from Trevor and Kim was so refreshing. I know people have different standards and expectations, but i can honestly say The Elmdene is a must if you are staying down the South West. Many thanks Lee (Brad) & Trace x

This B&B is a hidden gem and the best we have ever stayed at. There is a great welcome from Trevor & Kim and the service received throughout the whole 3 day stay was faultless. The rooms are spotless, well furnished with lots of extras. The breakfast is worth 5 stars alone. It is in a great location, quiet but within walking distance of the sea front and there is a pub within a 2 minute walk away. We will never book anywhere else if in the area - thank you for a great stay x
