Hotel Marad

Torre del Greco|À 1.08km du centre-ville
Hotel Marad is a great little hotel, just far enough out of Naples to have a relaxed, small and friendly atmosphere. We used this hotel for 4 days as a base to explore the area a little and had days out in Naples and Pompeii. The hotel is a 10-12 minute walk to the local train station which makes access to the above key locations really easy, plus Herculaneum, Sorrento and beyond, and the ports at Naples for boats to the islands etc. A taxi into Naples is about €45 so not exhorbeftent. The hotel is friendly with very helpful staff, and a well maintained pool that rarely got overly busy. Our room was comfortable enough (even with a double and two singles), well maintained and the balcony is decent size. Despite all our bags the cleaning team did a really good job to keep it under control. Although we ate out a couple of times, the hotel restaurant serves good quality food at reasonable prices and the waiting team is excellent. There is a very cool roof top bar that has amazing views towards the sea and up to Vesuvius. Not many negatives here at all, only that the breakfast doesn’t seem to match the rest of the Marad’s offering. But it’s ok enough. Finally, it’s worth exploring the local town (Torre del Grecco) which has some very good restaurants and, if you have kids, a couple of good beach clubs where you can camp out for the day with the locals. It feels like this area is only now really opening up to tourists, and it makes for a great base.

Villa de Cillis Carafa

Our experience at Villa De Cillis was beyond all expectations. Located in the best panoramic point to admire the spectacular Sorrento Coast and the majestic profile of Naples, this villa presents itself as an authentic paradise for lovers of breathtaking views. The impeccable and courteous service made our stay unforgettable from the moment we arrived. The staff demonstrated unparalleled excellence, guaranteeing a warm welcome and assistance attentive to every detail. The rooms, undoubtedly 5 star luxury, are a real jewel. Each room is tastefully furnished, combining classic and modern elements to create an atmosphere of timeless elegance. The cleanliness is impeccable, and the comfort of the beds and furnishings is worthy of the best luxury hotels. However, what makes this hotel truly unique is its prime location. The panoramic view of the Sorrento Coast and Naples is simply breathtaking, turning every moment spent on the terrace into an unforgettable experience. In conclusion, the Villa is much more than just accommodation; it is an oasis of luxury and tranquility. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for an elegant retreat with the best possible view of the beautiful Campania region.

Bon bon beurre bon.
