Sol Torremolinos – Don Marco

L'hôtel est situé juste en face de la plage et à quelques pas de la gare. Il y a de nombreux équipements tels que des piscines, un spa, un bar, des restaurants, etc. La chambre elle-même est basique et a l'air un peu démodée. La vue sur la mer est superbe. Ce n'est pas le meilleur service que j'ai eu.

Fab. Hotel. 2nd time of visiting. You cannot fault the hotel reception and cleaning staff at all. Fab location lots going on. We had a seaside view so we were able to watch the coming and going of people enjoying their holiday Only down side for me was the catering and quality of the food. However plenty of restaurants in walking distance

Went here with my niece , Had glass of bubbly on arrival , Really friendly reception staff , Room was a bit tired door to bathroom had mold on bottom , But was very clean in room and bathroom , Hotel has been modernised in some areas looks like an on going project, Lovely grounds nice entertainment areas, Breakfast was lovely catered for English German ect . Great location , and only 15-20 mins from airport, Some lovely restaurants right ne’er by , Tiki beach bar and restaurant just left on beach was so nice the cocktails and food are amazing I would return Thanks don marco .

Having stayed in Melia hotels, I was dissapointed to find Don Marco sadly lacking. It sits in a complex of three hotels, don Pedro, don Pablo. Don Pablo is lovely and modern, don marco feels like a very poor addition/extension. I prefer a more modern hotel and though that's what I had chosen. Photos depict all hotels in the resort, so its hard to actually see what is in your building. Although you can use facilities in either of the other hotels I was dissapointed to be staying in the Marco. The bedrooms were very dated, bathroom ceiling was metal and dented and bashed. The shower was very good but old. My biggest complaint would be the ants in the room and the room we has which was an xtra sea view room was very noisy. Its above an Irish bar. The view to the beach is lovely. The spa which I used twice gives great massage.

Currently on a 4 night stay (night 2) at the Sol don Marco by Melia. I visit Spain frequently and have to say that this is the worst 4 star hotel we have ever stayed in over the past 10 years. The beds are uncomfortable, two singles pushed together that drift apart when you lay on them. On our first night the beds only had a single sheet on each (no blanket) and we did not sleep well at all as we were freezing. I reported the issue to reception today and a double duvet (not in a cover) was added to the bed. Generally the staff have been good but I shouldn’t have to complain about basics in 4 star hotel. If you can’t sleep well how are you meant to enjoy your holiday. Breakfast is good, I generally only eat eggs, toast and pastries which were all good. Dinner is really bad, overcooked or deep fried vegetables, potatoes swimming in oil, too much salt added to fish which is overcooked and tough. The food isn’t labelled very well at all, desserts had no labels whatsoever so if you are vegetarian or have an allergy be warned. No kettle in the room, purchased a travel set from the supermarket. The bathroom is very bad, no bin for waste so ladies be warned if you use sanitary products! The douche is in a position where you will spray the tissue as you use it. Nowhere to hang your clothes in the bathroom. The hotel is in really poor condition and in need of a major renovation. The outside looks great compared to the rooms. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will not be staying with this chain again. Very disappointed with Melia and would describe this as more of a 2 star experience. I’m definitely sticking with Barcelo hotels next time, they’ve never ever let me down.

The hotel is in a complex of 3 and it’s lovely the rooms are spacious and modern the staff are very friendly the cleaners come in every day and do a fabulous job the food is buffet with plenty of choices great location right on the sea front would highly recommend

Another summer holiday at sol Don Marco and as usual it was perfect, good food, great service, spotless clean, we got the room we requested which was brilliant, plenty of sunbeds and weather was great, right a cross the road from the beach, very central to everything that's why we always stay here, adult only which suits us perfectly. Plenty of pools to choose from, always excited to visit torremolinos. see you next Yr.
