San Giorgio Resort

We had the most wonderful stay at this holiday apartment in Lake Garda – truly one of the highlights of our family travels. As a family of four with two young boys, finding a place that works for everyone can be a challenge, but this place ticked every box and then some. The location in the hills is stunning – peaceful, with breathtaking views, yet still close enough to explore the lake and surrounding towns. Public transport was accessible (which we relied on this time), but next visit we’ll definitely rent a car to explore more freely – there’s so much to see! The apartment itself was spotless, well-equipped, and felt like a home away from home. The gardens were absolutely gorgeous – full of color and beautifully maintained – and the pool was a huge hit with our boys (and with us after a day of adventuring!). But what really made this stay special was Francesca, our host. She was incredible – warm, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed. You could tell she genuinely cared about making our stay perfect, and she went above and beyond in every way. People like her are rare and make all the difference. We would come back in a heartbeat – and already can’t wait to return. Highly recommend this hidden gem for families or anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable holiday near Lake Garda!

Had the most perfect stay in their 2bedroom/2bath apartment up the hill in Fornico. We found ourselves relaxing like we never had before on vacation. The apartment was so quiet, beautiful, and comfortable that we never wanted to leave. Stunning lake views and the most WONDERFUL owners make this truly a place we cannot wait to return to.

Amazing week at San Giorgio Resort in July '24. Stunning location, beautifully maintained, on the quieter side of the lake. Truly an oasis of calm and beauty. Francesca could not have been a more hospitable, gracious and helpful host. The daily croissants were a lovely touch as was the mid-week clean. It has everything you could need with Bogliaco a 10-15 minute walk away. A real find-it made our stay on Lake Garda all the more special. Thanks Francesca and we hope to return!

From the moment we arrived we knew our stay at San Giorgio Resort was going to be something special! After a long travel day we were greeted by the fabulous Francesca who had booked us a table at the ‘local’ Restaurant, just a short walk across the valley and up through a vineyard….Perfection! Our apartment, Vita was ideal for a couple. Tastefully decorated with a well equipped kitchen & a few staples in the fridge. Each morning we awoke to a breakfast box of bread rolls and croissants on our doorstep. The resorts’ private and communal spaces are so well planned it’s suitable for couples, families or groups and the gardens and pool area are superbly maintained by Gianluca providing a quiet and restful atmosphere. Francesca is an exceptional host, welcoming and attentive, she was always available and full of useful tips. From providing an umbrella when rain was forecast to including us in a delivery of fresh ravioli for our dinner ( topped with fresh sage from the herb garden) she helped make our stay unforgettable. We were blown away by how many of the guests were return and multi generational visitors due largely to our hosts. Perched above Lake Garda with stunning 180deg views on the ‘less touristy’ side of the lake the resort is in walking distance of two charming towns, Bogliaco and Gagnano where you will find waterside cafes and restaurants. Both host weekly markets and we enjoyed a boat trip from Gagnano to Isola del Garda. There are beautiful mountain walks, a golf course and if you like to shop, Salo is just a 20min drive away. In short, If you’re looking to stay in the Lake Garda area, look no further. After six glorious days San Giorgio was hard to leave, we look forward to becoming return visitors :)

Das Resort, insbesondere der Garten sowie unser Apartment waren sehr liebevoll gestaltet, sodass wir uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Die Lage ist ideal für Ausflüge entlang des Sees und Francesca hat uns stets mit den besten Tipps für Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants versorgt. Aus unserer Sicht eine absolute Empfehlung, eine super Urlaubslocation zum Entspannen. Vielen herzlichen Dank an Francesca und ihren Mann für die herzliche Gastfreundschaft und die tolle Zeit.
