The location i sexcellent. It is located centrally in Kinosaki and right next to the bus terminal. If you are heading back to Osaka, Kyoto etc by express bus, the bus stop (bus pool) is right next to the inn. It faces the canal and is pretty close to the Kinosaki JR station. Check in is actually 14:00, which is one of the benefits.(Check-in of most places 15:00) You can get an onsen pass upon check-in, with which you can hop 6 of the hot springs nearby. Every hot spring (public bath) has scheduled days off on Wed and Thur. I couldn't try every public hot spring as I stayed overnight in Kinosaki on Thursday. Other than those 6 hot springs, you can simply enjoy a foot bath. Towel isn't available. You should bring your own towel. I booked a night without a meal but you can order some food. Especially they have lots of drink options, including sake tasting sets. There is a drink vending machine in the corridor. I booked a private bath for JPY2,200 for 45 minutes. Although you already have 6 of public hot springs all over Kinosaki, it is worth it. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. It is set up in a beautiful garden. If you are interested, you can book it in advance, then pay upon check-in. There is no lift. The inn is a 3-story building. The room I stayed in has a sliding door. Some rooms have sliding doors, others have normal doors. Sliding doors might make some noise but it was a quiet night. ( probably the inn wasn’t occupied fully) A staff speaks simple English, it is helpful Below is equipped in each room AC TV Safe Kettle pot Toilet Hair dryer Amenities wi-fi (very slow) Check out is 10:00. Curfew is 23:30 The main entrance is open at 05:00ish but reception is open much later After you check out, INN keeps your luggage only for one hour. I checked out at 1000 and was back at the INN at 1100 to pick up my luggage. There are some coin lockers in front of the JR Kinosaki station / information Center but I didn’t wanna go back to the JR station with my suitcase when my bus stop is just next to the INN. Luckily there are about 10 coin lockers at the bus station. ( 2 or 3 sizes available) Phew… you should plan well now you know that INN keeps your luggage only for one hour after you check out. As my bus was supposed to depart at 14:30, I had plenty of time to savor the last meal in Kinosaki. Many places are closed on either Wed or Thursday. Plan well ! Most places accept credit cards. I saw many foreign travelers. I really enjoy Kinosaki. I definitely want to come back again for 2 nights next time.
