Lookout at Trinidad Bay

We enjoyed our stay here in this fabulous little bed and breakfast. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the bedding is very comfortable. The location and the views from every room is one of the reasons to stay here. There are great places to eat nearby. Tyler, the innkeeper, is very helpful and he puts on a great breakfast! I recommend staying here 100 percent!

Can’t say enough good things about this place and Tyler. The G.O.A.T. of hosts. Unreal breakfast started each day in style. Great location with just a short drive to amazing Redwood sites and trails. And the cute town has some fun places too. Recommend Larrupin’ Cafe for dinner one night.

Tyler was a wonderful host! Our breakfast was amazing and his attention to detail was perfect. Everything was spotless and the rooms were cozy. Bedding was high quality and bed was super comfortable. I slept like a baby all night. In spite of the fog, our view was still amazing. Loved all the beautiful flowers and hummingbirds. I wish we had been there more than a night. We also enjoyed the local winery right around the corner. What a great place to stay!

We booked and paid through trip advisor as that was the only option we could find for this property online. We drove two hours out of our way after receiving our booking confirmation from trip advisor only to be told upon arrival at 7pm that no room was not available. The host said it’s a problem with trip advisor and apologized and gave us a few other places to call- all of which were booked. Needless to say we were furious! He said it’s happened before. So why hasn’t he fixed it or stopped using trip advisor?? We weren’t charged for the room but no compensation was offered either. Offering a discounted or free night in the future or atleast breakfast the following morning if we’d been able to find something close by would have been nice. Will NEVER book at the Trinidad bay bed and breakfast again and will never book anything through trip advisor.

Though I had seen photos prior to booking, I was blown away by the actual view when we arrived at this charming place. Wildflowers everywhere, sea breeze blowing and a view of the water that photos just don't do justice. The day started out with the house manager, Tyler, texting us to touch base and get an idea of our arrival so he was readily available. He met us in the drive, helped with the luggage and offered to take my ice pack from my cooler to re-freeze as well as brought out a bag for any trash we may have in our vehicle - he knew we were doing a road trip of the coast. The room was amazing - to lay on the bed and have this view felt like a once in a lifetime opportunity. Restaurants were in walking distance and there is a great trail right down the street. Tyler brought us breakfast in our room the next morning and it was phenomenal. Check out was not until 1:00 so we had plenty of time to hang around and enjoy this quaint town. Highly recommended.

The owner was super kind even though we missed our connecting flight and arrived at 11:30p rather than 6p as planned. Our room was super comfy and the bed, down pillows and blanket were as soft as the sheets. Because we were in so late our host made a fresh breakfast for us at 10a (a civilized hour) and it was delicious; eggs poached with chevre and herbs, thick cut local applewood smoked bacon and excellent toasted crunchy sourdough bread grilled with butter. There were berries in a balsamic glaze and a spiced pear. Fresh OJ and coffee and of course tea. We left for a day of sightseeing fortified and well rested. ;-) Note: There is no TV so bring your laptop, there is wifi.
