We had booked a hotel for 15 days, but upon our arrival at night, we encountered issues during the check-in process. Initially, they were unable to locate our booking, despite us providing the PDF containing all the necessary information. Subsequently, they proposed relocating us to another hotel - Sava. We had previously visited Sava a few years ago and did not have a positive experience. Insisting on being checked into the hotel we originally booked, we faced resistance. The staff contended that Zagreb and Sava were the same hotel, yet we never received accommodation in the one we had initially chosen. This led to a delay of over 2 hours before we were finally checked in. We were repeatedly shuttled back and forth, and eventually assigned an unsuitable room. This was confirmed by the manager the following morning, who explicitly stated that the room was unfit for use. We were compelled to hastily book another hotel and relocate the next morning. Furthermore, they appeared hesitant to modify our reservation from 15 days to just 1 day, offering reasons of "best intentions" and the "best room for us." This was in spite of us informing the manager the previous evening about our intention to switch hotels due to the circumstances. Consequently, we found ourselves paying the full nightly rate for a completely uninhabitable room, culminating in a regrettable commencement to our vacation.
