Upon check in, Jeremy and us had a long discussion about dietary needs, we are both gluten free. He made notes and asked numerous questions about it. Asked "if we like coffee", yup. We both like coffee. Come breakfast the next morning, at 8:30 SHARP!! Megan abruptly asked my mom and I "and who are you"? Ugh, the people staying in your upstairs room...... she then proceeded to place plate after plate of gluten FULL food in-front of us. We finally asked if any of the food was gluten free. We got a 10 minute lecture, in front of all of the other guests, about the legalities of providing dietary adjustments to guests, and made it very clear she didn't do that. The website says "optional breakfast provided" ..... we were given no options, and actually lectured on our actual decisions. Apparently hot tea has to be special ordered, unless you like coffee flavored tea from the keirug. After we asked about our gluten free option, Megan, the OWNER, told us we were free to eat anywhere else on the island, and she would give us a refund. Which is exactly what we did. For GOOD service and many options do not stay here. The room, the sunset suite, was ok. The carpet was dirty, the room was musty, the AC unit leaked water from the moldy pipes, and the blankets, were never laundered. I found this out after grabbing the extra blanket in the middle of the night and touching a sticky part... Megan and Jeremy were non-existent after our first interaction. Stay anywhere else on the Island. This place is horrible. Also the sunrise suite has no comfortable couches or chairs, just hanging baskets.
