"The owner was warm and kind and the hotel is in an absolutely beautiful and historic area. The bed squeaked every time a hair on your head moved. It squeaked so much that we did not get any sleep at all. The sheets had stains on them. The shower was decent and the heater worked well. There is parking close by and there is an elevator up to the room. No breakfast was offered and there was no coffee in the room."

"LIKED The receptionist (Victoria) was outstanding. Very helpful and friendly. Nice inner courtyard area with good WiFi Rooftop ‘dipping pool’ to cool down - small area but attractive with 6 deckchairs. OK Continental Breakfast but same every day and have to keep asking for butter and jam to go with the croissants ! Paid parking 2mins away. Hotel is located at the top of the Main Street so 10-12mins to historic square. DISLIKED The Courtyard area has a fountain which was leaking water all around its base. I slipped and hurt myself and the fountain was STILL not turned off or drained. A complete health and safety hazard. We stayed in Room 4 (standard Double) but the terrace area (stripy sofa and tree) was dirty & full of midges, the WiFi was non existent but on the bright side, it was cool! We were offered room 6, one of the Double Duplex Rooms, beautifully laid out but at this time of year (June) being at the top of the building - it was way too hot (even with AC). Also there was a gap in the curtains directly opposite the bed!"

"A decent hotel located in the historic centre of Úbeda. When the reservation was made by phone, parking for two vehicles was requested, STATING THAT THEY WERE EIGHT-SEAT VANS. Upon arrival we found out that we could not park at the hotel because the vehicles access the car park via an elevator that does not accommodate vans. The location of the hotel on a narrow street in the old town, with the legitimate passage of neighbours' vehicles, turned the operation of disembarking occupants, luggage and leaving the street again to look for parking into unspeakable chaos. The same thing happened the following morning to load up at the exit of the hotel. The establishment, at the risk of losing the stay, should have warned of the problem and did not do so. Very bad."

"We love our stay at the Santa Maria Hotel. From the beginning was great, because we could park in front of the hotel and someone was there to help us with the check-in. The hotel is in the central history of Ubeda. So, we left the hotel and found the most beautiful views of the city. Also, many restaurants/bars with delicious tapas. The room was perfect for us, with AC, a pleasant shower and a comfortable bed. The owner of the hotel was so helpful over the phone and when we met him, giving us information about the city."

"Résa du 15 avril non confirmée + 3 mails 18-20 et 22 avril sans réponse pour savoir "Comment payer ?" puis demande avancement résa du 30 au 28 mai. Sans confirmations explicites, croyant ne pas avoir de résa, avons réservé et dormi le 28 mai au Nueve Leyendas (super hôtel, excellent service et cadre) et été débité pour no show au Don Juan le 30 mai. L'hôtel ne reconnait pas sa responsabilité découlant de ses silences et de l'absence d'une confirmation explicite de notre résa. Refuse de nous rembourser alors que l'hôtel n'était pas plein (hypothèse au regard de la valse des prix … 94 € le 22 avril sont 72 € le 13 juin) et que le petit déjeuner inclus pour 25 € ne nous a pas été servi ! Lecture a posteriori des CGV ... elles sont illisibles, en tous petits caractères sans titre ni paragraphe. Résa faite via le site "Es Grupo" qui laisse croire qu'on est sur le site de l'hôtel et, sans le savoir, échanges mails faits sur 3 adresses différentes. Ont mis en place, sans que ce soit explicite, un système de pré-réservation requérant de saisir les données de sa carte bancaire pour que la résa soit confirmée. Nous n'avons pas eu de confirmation, ni un document attestant de l'enregistrement de notre carte bancaire pour un débit différé - les CGV n'en parlent pas. Impossible de savoir à l'avance que nous serions débités le 31 mai MAIS, l'aurions-nous su l'annulation sans frais est IMPOSSIBLE passé 7 jours de la prise de résa. Donc, les réservations sur ES GRUPO sont à fuir d'autant qu'il y en a tellement d'autres ou les annulations sont gratuites."
