Paguro Beach Inn

Incredibly pleasant and friendly hotel manager who is always willing to help with anything you need. All the staff are kind and smiling, the whole place is spotless, and it's just a few steps to the stunning beaches. The buffet-style food never disappointed us, and we had the chance to try everything. Thank you for those wonderful days, and hopefully, we'll see you again someday...

I stayed in Paguro beach inn for 4 nights ,it was nice experiences , Musthaq and his team are excellent . Shafaq from reception always doing the needful when i was there . All staffs are well trained with good manners and attentive. the room was clean with balcony . surrounding by tropical coconut trees view , just a step to beach ( they are most closer to the sunrise side), the breakfast is various and delicious , everyday i love to pass by the island jungle walking to the long beach. I went that time not so many tourists in Ukulhas and beach is fantastic. Thanks for everything , it was indeed a pleasant stay and made a lot of good memories. Hope will be back soon!! Shukuriyaa!!

I have been to Maldives 3 times, everyone of those times were amazing, BUT not as amazing as my stay at Paguro Beach Inn. Those people are so heartwarming and welcoming that you couldn't imagine! They will make your stay exceptional. Their manager Solaman is one of those guys that really does care for his guests to have the best stay ever, whatever you need he will provide or find solution! Their captain Alim will carry you to the most unimaginable locations in the region - swimming with sharks, stingrays, turtles, fish feeding, snorkeling at amazing coral reefs, sandbanks, whale sharks and much much more, you just have to ask them! Ukulhas Island is one of the best and very well developed. Beaches are clean and with crystal clear waters, everyday at the docks sharks come and you can even touch them! Food is also excellent their chef really knows what he is doing. Waiters are always kind and really caring. If you are looking for real relaxation and adventures - this is your place!

The highlight of this trip was the warmth and niceness of the hosts. Solaman and his team were very nice. Went out of the way to be helpful to us. Ukulhas as an island had a lot to offer : Good snorkeling points (all free), seeing nurse sharks, manta ray, sting ray, black tipped reef sharks, convict surgeons, parrot fish. There are a few macaws on the island which are friendly. The beach is simply amazing and you can take leisurely walks, rest in sun beds or just wade/Swim. Lots of restaurants and no problem for a vegetarian like me. I recommend Ukulhas and Paguro inn.

Pros: I really liked my room. It was on the 2nd floor and faced the island. Quite comfortable and nice. The full day barbecue trip was genuinely the highlight of my trip thanks to the kindness, hospitality, and professionalism by Haneef and Alim. I highly recommend the trip.There are plenty of excursions offered by the hotel at very favourable prices. The staff at the dining room area were also very kind and hospitable. The hotel is also located near Bikini Beach, so that's convenient. Cons: There is so much that I initially intended on including in my review based on my experience, but I have decided to be judicious in what I include in this particular review. It should also be noted that I have NEVER EVER given a negative review. This is my first one, but I couldn't just let this pass without expressing my sentiments. If it could help someone else, I owe that much to that person. First off, I travel ALOT, and I have been to several countries in this world, so this review is coming from a very informed place. As a black lady of African descent travelling solo, I experienced a lot of racism from the moment I landed at the airport (personal experience). It is not even subtle racism. It is in your face. I remember that I even broke down on my first day after landing at the Maldives. I choose not to go into specifics because this review will be longer than I want it to be. As mentioned, some staff at Paguro were great, though. I would recommend that solo female travellers of African descent avoid the Maldives. I obviously can not speak for male travellers. If you want to enjoy a beach holiday, I would recommend Seychelles, Jamaica, Cancun-Mexico, Mauritius, Bahamas, Brazil, Spain, Myconos-Greece, Thailand, Turks& Caicos, Malindi&Watamu- Kenya, Dominican Republic (places I have personally travelled to and experienced). Maldives, in my personal opinion, is not worth the trauma. I was on half board basis (which is more than enough). The food on the first few nights was certainly not fresh, and I got a stomach upset. But that was rectified from my third night staying there. The food is nothing to write home about but I really enjoyed ordering food from a nearby restaurant at a hotel called Ranthari. Their food was great. Paguro has a few lounge chairs at the beach (i think they are about 10), but they are always booked so you can barely enjoy staying at the beach unless you enjoy being sunburned - the UV is at the Maldives is quite high. I would mostly stay in my room during the day because of that and go to the beach late evenings or very early in the morning. There are some hotels, though, that provided a good area with plenty of shade for their guests to avoid this issue. As I mentioned, there is plenty that I have intentionally decided to leave out based on my personal experience, but overall, my stay at Paguro was worth 1/10 because of the positives I mentioned above.

We had the most AMAZING HONEYMOON EVER Thank you to all the staff especially Soleman, you made our holiday unforgettable. Genuinely, the staff did EVERYTHING They could to ensure the best time We loved how close everything was to the beach, the food was soooo YUMMY and different, my husband especially loved it Solemn organised for us the BEST DAY TRIPS EVER , Including to am island all to ourselves!!! The two guys who took us on the trips were AMAZING TOO We caught a Massive sword fish!!! They provide free snorkels, which are ok , but they are a bit broken so bring Ur own if you are a serious diver Soleman gave us GREAT advice where to dive to find turtles, and where to walk to see sharks !!
