If i could leave a 0 star review i would! The hotel is in a very poor state of repair, the photos online do not reflect the condition of the hotel. We booked a one night stay for a business trip for one of our staff members. The bathroom was in a poor state, mould on the walls in the shower and the flooring was uneven and dangerous. Bottled water was provided, however its clear that the water wasn't fresh and hasn't been replenished in some time as the bottle top was mouldy! Safe to say we will not be staying in his hotel ever again and i would advise others to do the same.

Just had a fantastic weekend at the hotel for my daughters wedding reception. Great room and fantastic full English breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful food for reception all served by helpful staff. Thank you again and be assured we will be back

Had booked ahead of time for my husbands 40th birthday for a close family meal for 4 of us. It was a Tuesday, and a lot of other restaurants appeared to be closed on this day (The Blair, Romeo&Juliets). Advised on the online booking form that it was a special occasion. Has a car park on site. When arriving we didn't know where to enter and so entered from the side and found the bar to advise them we had arrived for our reservation (2 adults, 16yo and 7 yo). We were then told we were at a table right next to the bar! I assumed (obviously wrongly) that there was a restaurant, not that I had booked a bar meal.) We were sat at a table too low for the seats. A bar table, not a dinner table. We had brought a cake but no one offered to take it so we sat it beside us. The place was quite bust (the bar) and there were no alternative tables. Limited menu. I didn't finish my meal and believe it was removed from the bill. Dogs are also allowed in the bar so if like me, you are highly allergic then this makes for a miserable experience. We didn't stay for desert and left pretty unhappy that we had chosen his venue for a special meal.

Had a lovely stay with family for husbands 70th birthday the staff were amazing and food was excellent Fiona made it very special and would certainly return again all the family had a great time celebrating thanks again for all your help for making it a day to remember

Helpful, friendly staff. Rooms a bit on the small side, and decor is a bit tired - the whole place could do with a refurb. However, the place was let down by the 'Scottish breakfast' - just about inedible. The cook did his best, but the ingredients were clearly the cheapest available from the 'ultra-processed' aisle in the cash and carry!

Staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were nice and bed was very comfortable. We arrived very late but the manager was there to greet us and make sure that we found our room. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and plenty of it. Tea and coffee was on tap throughout breakfast.
