Leobo Private Reserve

An out of this world experience. Deep in the wild but beautifully managed to optimise the experience. Would go back in a heart beat. Not being a big five reserve gave us the chance to roam and see a variety of animals without so many constraints.

We were a part of the same group with Getti below. Leobo was the most extraordinary destination for the special occasion that we were all celebrating. Chris, Heidi, Sarah and every single member of their staff were superb. Always there but never intrusive. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and varied. The Lodge is an architectural and design wonder - every room and outlook, breathtaking. As you look out over the vast space in front of you, with barely a light to be seen, you know why this site was chosen - perfect placement for the telescope that is the central point of the Lodge. We saw Jupiter and Saturn and, for the first time in my 70 years, I was able to look at the sun through a special additional telescope. This is not just a special destination for young people - it caters for all age groups. I shall count it among my best destinations ever.

Quite simply the most incredible place I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. 3 days of quad biking for luxury and quad biking whilst trying to escape friends shooting paintball guns out of a helicopter chasing me. Shooting various guns ranging from AK47's to sniper rifles. Taking a helicopter ride with David, who is a highly skilled pilot and an all-round great guy as he shows you the 20,000 acre land in all its glory. Waking up and standing on the deck looking down as giraffes roam freely and stop for a drink in a close by lake. The staff were incredible too. Drinks are on tap and the food is cooked to perfection. Then there is the observatory tower. Which I cannot truly put in to words but its just nothing short of spectacular. I have one regret, and its that I didn't take enough moments to simply take it all in. 3 days in this place was just a blur of fun-filled adventure. Rory the owner is fantastic and his management team are too. INCREDIBLE! Note! I had to select a more recent date as date I travelled was not available - but I did visit in the month of May.
