Be cautious when booking with Zostel! Even in cases of genuine medical emergencies, they refuse to refund advance payments, despite providing all necessary proof and canceling well in advance. Their lack of empathy and rigid policies make it clear that profits come before people. I also had a horrible experience at Zostel Varkala, where the manager threatened to charge ₹500 per person if we didn’t vacate by 10 AM, making us feel pressured and harassed. This kind of behavior reflects their poor customer service and disregard for guests' well-being. Think twice before choosing Zostel – your peace of mind isn’t worth the risk!
