Ca' Santo Spirito B&B

The B&B is beautiful and very well presented. However, the breakfast was extremely disappointing. Although first to breakfast when it started, eggs were cold and (we discovered) from the fridge because they don't have time to prepare fresh eggs. With only 5 bedrooms, this excuse doesn't wash. Pastries were distinctly average as was the selection of food overall. Everything is cold with no warm options. Juices are from concentrate and not fresh. Breakfast is presented in a dingy kitchen which does not look very nice. Not very salubrious and not in fitting with the price charged. The coffee was bitter. Worse of all, one of the workers simply stared at us throughout breakfast - making us very uncomfortable. The owner was very helpful on our first morning by suggesting things to do in Venice and showing us on a tourist map. However, he didn't have a map to give and instead directed us to the Tourist Office (piazza St Marco) to buy one. Go figure.

Beautiful accommodation, comfy bed, spacious and everything delightful. Lovely quiet area but accessible to everything. Good breakfast, lots of choice. Hosts were super helpful and gave us lots of useful information. Would definitely stay again.

This B&B is a beautiful old building (actually 2 buildings) well situated in the Dorsoduro neighborhood of Venice, not far from Peggy Guggenheim. The area is a bit less hectic than central Venice, and is relatively quiet but still close to artistic shops and good restaurants. The room was comfortable, impeccably decorated, with a modern roomy bathroom. The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious, served in a cozy eating area, hosted by a friendly helpful couple, Alessandro and Veronica. This is a small B&B, so feels very intimate and warm. Tip: ask for a first floor room if you don’t like walking upstairs!

Look no further -- this is the perfect place to stay in Venice. The location is great -- a quiet street in the Dorsoduro, a short walk from the Zaterre vaporetto stop and a few minutes from the Grand Canal, where you can get a traghetto to the other side (distances are deceptive on a map -- remember, Venice is very small). The building is old and historic, but the room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, with a fully updated bathroom. The breakfast buffet is excellent, and Veronica is a warm, attentive, and efficient host. We really enjoyed our stay there -- highly recommended.

Wir hatten das Zimmer mit externen Bad, dafür war das Zimmer mit dem schönen Himmelbett sehr geräumig. Es war ein bisschen, als wohne man dort. Das Frühstück war für italienische Verhältnisse super. Wir haben nichts vermisst und kommen gern wieder.
