Yadua Bay Resort & Villas

We stayed here in April 2024 We have stayed at Yadua Bay Resort a few times.Up until this recent trip we have enjoyed our stay there despite a few little issues, it was ok. Although it was cleaned well every day, our room was well below average maintenance wise. Air conditioner leaked,room smelt awful (apparently it was bed bug spray), glass slide door was super hard to close so much in fact the handle came off when we tried to close it. Basically the rollers were stuffed. Our entry door would not lock. Thankfully there was a latch on the inside to keep us secure, however remained unlocked on the outside when we left the room. Only a top sheet on the bed, no extra pillows, blankets. No face washers. Minimal toiletries offered for 2 people. The pool was murky and tiles are falling off around the pool. There is a long potholed road to get to the resort. The restaurant closed around 10am and didnt open again until 5pm. So no lunch or even a drink at the bar if you wanted it. (The kitchen staff and waiters were lovely. Vinaka Esa) Thankfully we had a hire car so were able to travel to eat off site. Upon check out we were charged for the broken door handle. One of the staff there, Litia told me she would close our account and we would not be allowed to make another booking there if we didnt pay for the door handle. Quite clearly it wasn't our fault as the door handle was weak and loose to start with from people trying too hard to close the door. She was very rude to me and obviously lacks customer service skills dealing with issues such as ours. In the end we ended up contacting the property manager who works off site. He was better to deal with and offered to wipe the door handle charge off our account which was the fair thing to do.Unfortunately this latest visit tainted our view on the resort and we wont be returning. Much nicer resorts around in better order with similar pricing. Yadua Bay Resort is in a lovely spot and we often chose it in the past as we like the fact it's usually pretty quiet but I feel it could be so much better with ongoing propery maintenance and upkeep as well as some training in customer service for the woman we dealt with.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were beyond friendly and the chef cooked us some great food. The Wahoo was our favourite and they do a banging burger. Can’t go wrong with the curries either! The ladies at the front desk were super friendly & helpful and allowed us to store our bags after check out as our flight wasn’t until the evening. It’s off the path a little but really good if you want privacy and to be away from the normal tourist crowds in the big resorts.

The pillows are fluffy, bed sheets were clean and rooms were clean too. Staff were very friendly and approachable. Always available to attend to our requests. Would highly recommend Yadua for corporate bodies’ retreats. ..,,.,,…………………………………

The place is in a very remote location with no security. Firstly we had trouble finding our villa as the villa's weren't numbered and after struggling alone, we ended picking up one of the staff from the reception to take us to the villa. We had booked the 2 bdrm ocean view villa for 2 nights. The entire villa is spacious however you can tell they haven't been doing a good job maintaining it. We also had a very scary experience when 2 drunk men tried to break into our villa at night. The phones weren't working but we did manage to contact reception using our personal cellphone and they sent security over to check. In the morning we complained about it and was told that they stay at a village near to the hotel and are harmless and they did nothing about it. The entire hotel is under staffed and deserted. I honestly wouldn't recommend anyone to stay there.

Nice clean rooms with lovely views Meals at the restaurant are very reasonable priced Very affordable accommodation especially considering its only a few minutes walk to the beach Great spot for relaxing by the pool and taking in the scenery and enjoying the good food

Only booked for 1 night for 2 adults 2 children thank goodness. Greeting when arrived was not to welcoming. Room only had 2 towels on arrival, as it says check in is 2pm to make sure the room is prepared for your needs. Bottom sheet of bed was more like a half sheet. Jug filthy Inside. Food from restaurant disappointing. Garlic bread $8.50. It was 5 normal pieces of sliced bread with an overload of garlic and soggy. Fish and chips looked sad. They have to many options on the menu so the result is poor quality food. Had inclusive breakfast but practically a half serve of a cooked breakfast which consisted of 5 wedges, scrambled eggs, slightly cooked.toast a small slice of banana, pawpaw and pineapple.. For a small resort it has so much potential but has a long way to go.
