Escape to a tranquil beachside haven at The Sanctuary Condos. This expansive condo invites you to unwind with al fresco dining & stunning vistas of the Back Bay and Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy seamless access to the sandy shores, spacious accommodations, and tasteful decor for a truly memorable vacation experience. Our community pool awaits, open from Memorial Day to Labor Day weather permitting. Count on our attentive service from check-in onwards, ensuring your stay is nothing short of exceptional. We are looking forward to hosting you but there are a few things you need to do in order to make sure that you, and all of our guests, are safe and that everyone can enjoy their respective stays! This message also includes other useful information about pet baby gear and parking: 1) Our properties are protected by Truvi. Please note that if you book a short-term rental (under 30 days), you will be contacted by Truvi directly to verify yourself. Please make sure this is completed prior to check-in. 2)Please confirm that you accept the following House Rules and Responsibilities on behalf of yourself and guests. If you are booking a flat for over 30 days, you will be provided with the standard tenant package as required under Virginia law, and be required to acknowledge receipt of the same. The terms of our Agreement will remain as agreed to on the booking platform, and anything implied under Virginia state law. Please note that the building has ring cameras monitoring and recording the exterior and common areas of the building at all times. There are absolutely no cameras on or in the interior of any unit. If you are traveling with a service animal, please inform your host prior to arrival. Our properties require Sojourn to collect the name and picture of a government-issued photo ID for each guest. Sojourn, our guests, and our properties are protected by Truvi. Please note you will be contacted by Truvi directly to verify your identity. This verification step keeps everyone safe and provides additional insurance on your stay. As part of this process, there is a required $100 damage waiver to be completed during the Truvi verification. Please make sure this is completed prior to check-in. For the comfort of our guests and team members, smoking of any kind (marijuana, cigarettes, or vaping) is not permitted inside or within thirty (30) feet of our building, including outdoor spaces. Should our team or neighbors report the odor of smoke your card can be charged, including but not limited to a $500 smoking fee, and your security deposit will be forfeited. Sojourn will contact the booking service, terminate your stay and post the appropriate review. Our minimum age requirement is generally 25. Parties and events are strictly prohibited. All Sojourn homes are equipped with noise monitoring devices (decibel readers), your privacy is safe, these devices can not record or decipher what you are saying they are only for monitoring noise. Noise levels exceeding normal levels are grounds for ending your stay and are strictly enforced. In the event we are notified of any excess noise, music, gathering or parties a Sojourn representative will respond and your reservation could be terminated without refund. What NOT to Flush Down the Toilet or put down drains - If found that these cause plumbing issues Sojourn can and will charge the guest. * Cooking Grease/Food/Coffee grinds should never be poured down any drain, period. * Feminine Products. Tampons and other feminine hygiene products are not supposed to be flushed down the toilet. * Baby Wipes/Wet Wipes/Cleaning Pads * Dental Floss * Q-tips/Cotton Balls * Diapers * Pills * Paper Towels/Tissues or excess toilet paper Fireworks are illegal in Virginia. If you are found to be engaged in setting off fireworks we are required by the city to immediately terminate your stay. Also If you are found responsible for having started a wildfire or dune fire with fireworks, you may be liable for all suppression and reclamation costs or even face imprisonment and fines. 3) There may be times where the home needs unexpected, or scheduled preventative maintenance. While we do our best not to interrupt your stay with us, sometimes this cannot be avoided thus Sojourn reserves the right to gain access to the properties at any time, after providing our guests with 24 hour written notice. 4) There is free parking for 2 vehicles in the parking garage. Please park one vehicle in the unit’s assigned parking space in Building A, conveniently attached to the condo. The second vehicle may be parked in any unmarked space. Please ensure permits are displayed at all times, as towing is strictly enforced at your expense. No parking is available anywhere else in the development. If any additional parking spaces are needed outside of the two spots given there is overflow parking located next door at Little Island Park. Please note that neither Sojourn nor the property owner shall be held liable for any loss, theft, damage, or injury to the vehicle or any personal property therein, nor for any injury to the driver, passengers, or any other person, arising out of or in connection with the use of the parking space. Any use of the parking space is at the sole risk of the vehicle owner or driver. Neither Sojourn nor the owner guarantee the safety or security of any vehicle parked in the parking space and disclaims any responsibility for any acts of theft, vandalism, or other criminal activity. 5) This unit has semi-oceanfront views and views and the bay. 6) Sanctuary condos are 8-10 miles from grocery stores and we recommend doing your grocery shopping on the way into Sandbridge or taking advantage of delivery services. There is a fabulous market as soon as you enter Sandbridge for your convenience. 7) This unit is not located within a resort or hotel.  Accordingly, there is not a concierge, maid service, or on-staff employees.  This is a private rental.. 8) The Sanctuary has a no-pet policy. Only service animals are permitted with written documentation on letterhead from a licensed professional currently providing treatment to a guest of the reservation which identifies the need for the service animals and confirms the guest is currently treated by such professional. Stays less than 30 nights are governed by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The ADA mandates that services animals, not animals providing emotional support (commonly referred to as ESAs), are permitted in public places which include hotels or short-term rentals. A service animal is distinguished from an ESA because it performs a specific task in relation to the human's disability. An ESA is not trained to perform any specific task. ***Please note that we must accept ESAs for stays exceeding 30 nights so the above statement does not apply to stays of that duration*** 9) We provide 4 beach chairs and one beach umbrella. We do not provide any type of snorkeling equipment. House Rules & Guest Responsibilities We kindly ask that you review and confirm acceptance of the following House Rules on behalf of yourself and all guests in your party. These standards help us protect our homes, respect our neighbors, and ensure every guest has a serene Sojourn experience. Violation of these rules could result in a termination of your reservation without refund. No Smoking To keep things fresh and comfortable for all guests, smoking (including cigarettes, marijuana, and vaping) is not allowed inside the home or within 50 feet of the building—including outdoor spaces. If smoke is reported or detected, we may need to end your stay, apply a $500 cleaning fee, and report the issue to the booking platform. We hope you understand—it’s all about keeping the space pleasant for everyone. Parties or Events Quiet Enjoyment We love a good time—but we also love our peace and quiet! Parties and events aren’t allowed, and all of our homes have decibel readers that help us monitor for loud noise (don’t worry—they don’t record anything). If we receive a report about excessive noise or gatherings, a team member may check in, and your reservation could be canceled without refund. Thanks for helping us keep things serene for our neighbors and other guests! Security Notice All Sojourn properties are equipped with exterior security cameras, including coverage of entryways and common areas that are recording at all times. These are used for guest safety, property protection, and in some cases to ensure compliance with local city regulations. There are no interior cameras inside any of our homes. Plumbing Etiquette — What Not to Flush or Dispose Please only flush toilet paper—no wipes, feminine products, or anything else. And avoid putting grease or non-food items down the drain or garbage disposal. Plumbing repairs can be expensive, and we’d hate to have to pass that cost along to you! Linens & Care At Sojourn, we provide luxury linens of the highest quality for your comfort. We kindly ask that you help us care for them by following these guidelines. Do not use towels or bedding for cleaning, makeup removal, hair dye or any other activities that could permanently stain the linens. If linens are found to be permanently stained or damaged, we will request reimbursement for the cost of replacement. No Fireworks For your safety and to comply with local regulations, fireworks—including sparklers—are strictly prohibited at all Sojourn properties.. No Pets Unfortunately, this property is not pet friendly. If you’re traveling with a pet, please reach out to us—many of our other homes warmly welcome furry friends.
