This stay was a great stay. The rooms were very clean and spacious. They were renovating to make the place look a bit better on the outside and in the rooms. The people there showed us nothing but love. Sandy, MK his wife, Nicole, and George all were great hosts and we appreciate the hospitality. Can't wait to go back there! My wife said this hotel will be our home away from home. The prices were great! I read some Bad reviews but that was before new management took over. This is a whole new atmosphere, a great one...We recommend you give it a try, you will not regret it. 10 stars

Few things missing or broken in room but the location and the balcony overlooking the Lake made us forget everything missing. Hurricane winds make the lights flicker little feeling of Bates Hotel LOL but not total loss of power which was good! We loved sitting outside watching the rain and wind while feeling safe. Even ventured out to boardwalk bar Calypso just up the street which was open! Fun! Just 2 blocks up the street to boardwalk! Our room could use a bar and hangers in closet, a few mats to wipe out feet, screen to keep bugs out on glass sliding door to balcony. coffee pot and working Ice Machine! TV reception was fuzzy but could be from storm? Overall had great time and felt safe.

This is an absolutely disgusting hotel! I booked 2 rooms for September 3-4. We arrived a little after the check in time of 4pm. The rooms were not ready and we were told that it would just be a few minutes. We waited outside in the parking lot with our children and watched 2 employees go in and out the rooms for over 2+ hours. Not doing anything!! I went and spoke to the front desk and told them that I was not waiting any longer and I wanted a refund. Nancy ensured me that she would reach out to Elijah, I'm guessing the owner. She came back in a few minutes and told me that they would fill out the request *********** had sent them to issue a refund. It has now been two weeks. I've spoken to Nancy several times after the 7-10 day wait time. Each time I call she says she is going to call her boss and call me back. Not once has she reached back out to me and I'm sick of playing these games with them. The hotel looks really trashy and honestly the employees looked sketchy. I would not have felt safe there staying with my kids. DO NOT recommend this hotel ever

Seashire checked us in at 5:30 pm on 8/6/22 and the room was not ready, it had used dirty bedding from the previous guests, dried up bodily fluids, food stuck to the covers , there were no light bulbs and the fire alarm was beeping, I asked the hotel front desk person at least 3 times to please have the room cleaned and listed all the items that needed attention she kept saying that the housekeeper was on her way and that never happened, I gave them chances to fix the room while we went to get dinner , we got back at 7 pm and still not fixed, left again and came back from dinner at 10:30 pm the room was still not cleaned;Amy the house keeper took the fire alarm off so it would stop beeping, still no lightbulbs and sheets had stains and hair. my two children and I had to leave the hotel that night even if we had to sleep in the car due to the terrible unsanitary conditions, Amy was the acting front desk person at that time she said that there was no manager and had a cordless phone with her, Amy contacted the manager over the phone who approved a refund due to us leaving the property that same night with my children were tired and no place to sleep; Amy asked me to contact Orbitz to get the full refund very apologetically as per her manager on the line that night. Yet she responded to an email from orbits denying the refund already approved and the abuse I had to undergo by this hotel, very dangerous , there was people using ***** on the premises. After that I made a reservation through orbits at Westing VA beach and they did not have a room available due to a glitch in the system, so the third hotel of the night Sleeping inn had a room for us , my 5 year old ended up sleeping after midnight. Worst weekend it was a real nightmare The front desk person was not helpful and had an attitude with me knowing that I was being very patient and gave them plenty of time to get it ready. Refused to refund $460 I paid for a 2.5 star hotel room that I didn’t use . Will need to report to VA Beach health department

Called the desk for a room number and the staff was very rude and sounded like they were just waking up. Would not even make an attempt to help me with anything. I had to dial the desk numerous times before they even answered the phone. Then when I finally got in contact she was just rude and she said that I would have to wait until 9:00 am before I would be able to get any assistance! I don’t know why you would have anyone that is not going to be so rude an not even try to be a professional and have some kind of personal skills to help a paying patron. Very dissatisfied with the way I was treated and talked to by the night shift at this location. She even hung up on me 3 times while she was what I can only assume was waking up from a nap. The staff would not allow me to talk to anyone else about my issues would just hang the phone up in the middle of my question.

If you are wanting the Ritz, this is not it. when we checked in, the room was still dirty. We did go walking around beach while the cleaned it. The bedding was stained. The floors was so dirty that 30 min after my shower, my feet were black. We were only asked 1 time if we needed anything, other than that every time we needed wash rags or toilet paper, I had to go track someone down to get it. I was actually told that I could take my trash out and put it in the can outside. You need to be a engineer to work the shower and the sink spigot was so loose, I thought it would fall off. Only good thing I can say is Munsy was very friendly while checking in and while showing me to point the remote at the cable box on the floor to change tv channels. Also, the private balcony outside the facing the water was great. Only 1 block from the ocean..
