Maistra Select Belvedere Resort

Sehr freundliches Personal. Wenn was nicht funktioniert (bei uns waren es Kaffeemaschine und Fön), kam sofort der Hausmeister und tauschte das Gerät aus bzw reparierte es. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist das Parkchaos - es stehen viel zu wenige Parkplätze zur Verfügung. Das hoteleigene Restaurant ist nicht zu empfehlen (all you can eat Buffet) - viel zu laut und hektisch. Besser eines der umliegenden Restaurants am Hafen besuchen (unbedingt reservieren!).

Package holiday with family for a week, Reception were helpful, rooms spacious, modern, clean (triple room). Out of all the hotels along the west coast this one had the best views and away from the masses of tourists. Only issue with hotel is the food, there was a selection each night but not much variation each time, food was also cold on numerous occasions which was disappointing. Overall with excursions and beautiful scenery, an amazing holiday.

The resort is rated as 4 star and it certainly didn’t live up to expectations 😟the rooms don’t all have sea views as described, the escalators don’t work and you have to pay for soft drinks and water with your evening meal. The staff are very rude and unfriendly and when we encountered a health and safety issue they were very reluctant to sort it out. The room my daughter was put in had water coming in through the ceiling through a light fitting and all the electrics blew. The photos show there is mould and damp on the walls and ceilings, so this was not the 1st time it had happened. The buildings are not maintained to 4star standard at all. We booked our holiday with TUI who have been completely useless with our complaint.

We stayed half board as a birthday celebration with friends. The hotel was lovely. First and foremost, all of the staff, reception, restaurant, housekeeping etc could not be faulted and made us feel really welcome. We were greeted at reception and even offered a lift to room with our cases….which was very welcomed as the site is quite hilly. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a free safe and fridge, and beautiful views from the balcony looking out to sea. Breakfast and dinner were buffet style with a good selection of food….a lot of variety and frequently replenished. We loved the outside seating which was quieter than the large inside area. The pool area was good with free towels provided, and plenty of sun beds. There were also sun beds on the small beach which were chargeable. On my husband’s birthday a bottle of sparkling wine with two glasses was delivered to our room, which was a lovely thoughtful touch. The hotel is located close to the harbour with bars and restaurants, and easy walking distance to the old town, tourist information and bus station, and some nice easy walks. One thing that should be noted is that the site is very hilly with lots of steps …even a few outside escalators; we actually counted 100 steps altogether back to our room from the restaurant (the winding path could be used instead). This meant that the views were lovely and well worth the climb, but would be a consideration for anyone with mobility issues. We had a wonderful holiday and want to say a big thank you to all the staff for making it so enjoyable…we really hope we will be able to visit again soon.

45 min drive from Pula situated a short walk into Vrsar. Friendly efficient check in. One bedroom apartment with sea view was brilliant. Spotlessly clean with everything you need. Lots of storage. Balcony with sea view and table and chairs perfect for sun downers. Special sunset views. Only downside was cheap mattresses and our block was situated high on the hill (hence the views) with a lot of steps. Something to take into consideration if you have mobility issues. Plentiful parking. Hotel grounds are impeccable. Sunbathing platforms the length of the resort with crystal clear water and a small pebble beach with an island you can swim to. Another slight issue is the charge of €8 each for sun bed and umbrella. Half board dining is at the buffet which was perfectly fine by me. Food was delicious and varied. No drinks included with evening meal. There is another restaurant with beach/harbour views which is also lovely. Pool area is fantastic, lots of sun beds and areas to relax. I’d like to add that the staff were all total professionals and a special mention for the ones working in the restaurants. Would give 5* if not for mattress and sun bed charge on beach. Would not hesitate in returning hopefully be back next year!

Arrived here a few days ago. A fairly simple 40-45 drive from Pula Airport (toll roads). Check in was fast & efficient. We were upgraded which was a surprise & a very welcome one! The room is fantastic. It’s more of an apartment than a hotel room with spacious rooms, amazing views & well equipped. The first thing that struck me was how modern the apartment is but also how clean it was. Absolutely spotless. The room has a free safe, a TV with a few English/American channels. Fridge freezer, microwave, coffee machine & an abundance of storage! Everything you need for a weeks holiday is provided & we’ve not had to ask for anything since our arrival. If you hire a car there is parking outside every room so no need to worry about leaving your car anywhere. The pool area is large, clean & plenty of Sun loungers (no need for getting up early & reserving beds). The grounds are immaculate. With sea & harbour views almost everywhere. A small pebble beach is available for guests with calm, safe waters. We are half board & the food is really very good. So much choice, cooked fresh at the time of service & tasty. I will say if you’re looking for nuggets & chips etc you’ll be disappointed. Not a chip in sight. But plenty of alternatives & there is fresh pizza every night! The staff are very friendly. The hotel is in a great location just a 5 minute walk into the small harbour town centre of Vrsar which has a small but good selection of restaurants, bars & shops inc. a small supermarket. I desperately want to give this hotel a top score but unfortunately just a couple of very minor criticisms stop me from doing so. Firstly, the beds are a tad uncomfortable for me. I’m sure most people will be fine with them though. Secondly the hotel is very large spread out over a big area. There are quite a few steps & slopes to navigate which might be an issue for some people. There are actually outside escalators which are really welcome at times so don’t think it’s all leg tiring, it isn’t. Lastly I’d have personally liked a small gym. There is one available to guests at a charge in a neighbouring hotel but this isn’t convenient to me personally. Other than those few minor points this hotel is faultless and I will be coming back. One thing we have noticed which isn’t an issue for us, but Brits are very few & far between. If you’re looking to meet new people you may struggle a bit but that could be because it’s out of high season. This hotel is sold through TUI so height of summer might be different.

First of all we would like to compliment the food, which was amazing and fresh everyday, especially at breakfast. The staff in the restaurant Lovor was so pleasant that we came back to eat there a few times. Evening workouts were challenging but would leave you feeling amazing each time! Special thanks to the animation team which made this vacation really memorable! For our childs birthday we got a surprise cake, baloons and a gift! Its really nice to see a hotel that keeps track of those things and finds a way to make guests feel special. Also, we did not know that hotel had entertaiment programs in the evening, so we were especially surprised when introduced to mini disco! Amazing dancers with simple choreographies for children made us not want to leave the hotel at all! Would come back again!

We wanted a package holiday type hotel for a few nights as part of a bigger trip and it did do the job. Reception were very friendly. We were there at a busy time and the pools were packed - forget getting a space! If you want to use the sun beds on the beach you have to pay, as you do for the aqua park. The good was fine - we enjoyed the breakfast, lots of choice, but it’s served in a massive room that is loud and chaotic. We paid half board - food in the evening was ok but I would highly recommend not including it and having more flexibility. It’s not much to pay as you go (€25 / adult). We ate in the old town - SO SO much better. Definitely go up there to avoid tourist chaos of hotel and port.
