Very disappointing. First time visiting and had high expectations due to its reputation. Distinctly average food. And the portion sizes were tiny. A very slack handful of chips with the fish and the tiniest amount of salad with the very bland chicken kebabs. Would not be in a rush to go back again.

Excellent quality home cooked food. Very tasty and good portion sizes. Very reasonable prices. Excellent customer service and great atmosphere. Loved the band entertainment kangaroo shoes and Ron. Lovely evening. Will certainly go back.

We attended for a camera club dinner the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was extremely good beer was great. The breakfast was first class freshly cooked with great produce I can highly recommend this place. I just hope the club book it again next year

Poor quality of food - tasteless vegan curry. Too many staff chatting and not serving - was not asked if we wanted a dessert or coffees so left without either. Far too hot inside to eat in any kind of comfort. Staff constantly popping to cleaning / cake serving area to eat or check mobile phones. Dustpan and brush put on cake counter top during last visit ! Would prefer long hair to be tied up not just back whilst serving food. Toilets are always dirty with poorly fitted seats.

Stayed in a nearby cottage with friends for the weekend in February, went in Saturday afternoon and a few of us had a sandwich which were all really nice, had a few drinks and the staff were so friendly, we booked a table for Sunday lunch and wow it was beautiful, the staff remembered us when we walked in on the Sunday and they all made us feel very welcome. I will definitely return later in the year when I am back in the area for another little break. Lovely pub, gorgeous Sunday lunch, lovely warm fires and very friendly staff.

Wonderful experience - nice spacious environment so didn’t feel noisy or overcrowded on a Sunday lunch time, staff very pleasant greeting and helpful, food quality fresh hot and full of flavour. Well done to the all the team great experience.

Really friendly staff, sat in the bar area which was really cosy with a log burner, have returned several times as the food is always a really good standard and caters for gluten and dairy free which suits us really well as most places don't even know what dairy free means! Will continue to return here thanks!

Visited for a recent Sunday lunch and really enjoyed our meals. Food was great and the service really good too. Friendly landlord checked all was OK - which it was. Love the fact that it feels like proper home made food. Had the Sunday roast, which was all cooked well and a decent sized portion, we couldn't resist the fruit crumble for after. We will return and would recommend to others.
