"Reserved a one night stay. Arrived at Hampton Inn & checked in. Went to the room & found the the room to be substandard. The room was small with low ceiling , the furnishings were worn , not very clean . the bed spread a mark on it, the couch was worn & old. We returned to the check in desk & told the employee that it wasn’t acceptable & that we could not stay there. I asked for a refund. The clerk said that we had made the reservation through a 2nd party “Trip.com & payment was to them. I contacted them & was led to believe that I would receive a full refund. We checked into a nicer hotel. Within 2 days I was told that they couldn’t give us a refund. Trip.com & Hampton continued to blame each other for the problems. So we ended up paying for both rooms. Neither Trip.com or Hampton would take responsibility. I recommend that guests not stay at this Hampton Inn… it was just a run down hotel with poor management. If we had been told that we would not get our money back we wouldn’t have stayed & not paid for a 2nd room. Trip.com was awful & could not give us answers. We will never do businesses with either again. Avoid staying here when visiting Waycross, Ga."

Also this motel is one thaymt is now one of 3 that are used by the local drug dealers on the werkend. And its npt as vlean anywheee on the propertu. And the breakfast and lobby area are a jokrle compared to the pics on here. Can u please tell me how this room lookszanytging loke the too is advertised to look."

"This hotel is a very nice chain hotel in the Waycross area in Georgia. When we traveled to this hotel, it was very new and had the feel of a new hotel. There was also a very modern feel. The hotel has many amenities like a nice lounge in the lobby with a TV, free breakfast, and a weight room. The weight room was spotless, and the lobby was very nice, but the free breakfast is not a five-star meal, just what you would expect from a chain hotel. The room was very nice and clean, though there was one hair in the room. The service was mostly good, however we only got three towels in our room on our second night when we had four people. One other complaint with the service was that the body wash soap was empty and the toilet paper was not replaced by housekeeping, but other then that, no complaints. Housekeeping also made our beds, which surprisingly housekeeping at some other hotels we have stayed at have not done for a two day stay. Our room was on the third floor, and there are four floors including the ground floor. Noise level was very quiet, we only heard one train outside during our entire stay. I would say that this hotel is good value, we only paid around $130 plus taxes per night for a nice, spacious room with two beds, and a bathroom with a shower. The room was spacious enough for four people. The area was good, with a Walmart, Cracker Barrel, and Olive Garden nearby. The Okefenokee swamp is nearby, about a 40 minute drive to the far entry gate."
