Drake Devonshire and Motor Inn

A surprise 20th anniversary getaway took us to the Drake Devonshire in PEC for the weekend. We stayed two nights in one of the Creekside rooms (room 103) which had lovely views of the creek and lake. The room was spacious enough for the two of us and the bed was comfortable, even though it was a queen (king sized bed is a preferred choice). We did notice that the room/area attached to our room was quite noisy with doors slamming later into the night. The hotel team heard our concern and recognized the inconvenience, which was very thoughtful of them. Bathroom amenities were nice fragrances and good quality. There were nice touches in the room to show recognition of our anniversary celebration (bottle of wine, homemade chocolate bar, note and balloon). We liked the coffee/tea and croissant station off the lobby each morning. Also the fresh cookies each afternoon in our room each day were delicious! We ate all of our meals at the restaurant and absolutely loved the views, food, servers and atmosphere!! The starter buratta cheese special was top notch! The cocktails each evening at dinner were fantastic! Special shout out to Kiki and Damian for being so friendly and knowledgeable. I feel terrible for not remembering our server’s name on Friday night, but he was a wonderful worker and super personable. Kiki we really appreciated your sense of humour, interest in how we were enjoying our stay and the passion for your job! Thank you for a wonderful weekend away!

We had such an amazing time at the Drake Devonshire! My partner and I came down for a night for our anniversary and everyone went above and beyond to make our stay special. Victoria at the front desk was a literal angel! She helped us get a last minute table for dinner right before it started pouring rain and saved our night. Our dinner and breakfast at the restaurant was also delicious. 10/10 we’ll be back soon!!

My husband and I recently celebrated my 40th birthday with an overnight stay at the Drake Devonshire Inn. Victoria at the front desk warmly greeted us with kindness and professionalism. She ensured that we had everything we needed in our beautiful balcony room, including special treats. She was knowledgeable, witty and genuine. We had an amazing stay thanks to Victoria’s warmth and expertise, and we can’t wait to come back! Justine K.

My sister and I had dinner Saturday night for the first time at Drake Dev. Our server, Kiki, recommended the ragu pasta and black cod with brownie for dessert. We loved the food, the atmosphere, and the view! We were even given a photo booth coupon to use to remember our first visit. We plan to come back with family this summer and look forward to trying the patio! Thank you to Kiki and the back of the house staff for a memorable meal and incredible night!

The staff at Drake made the whole experience very enjoyable. They asked us how things were progressing at every step and they were able to make adjustments when needed. The room was very comfortable, and the food was excellent. The Drake has an ideal work space for a small group. The large windows give it such an open feel and the kitchenette allowed us to choose where we would eat, and expanded the activities available to us in the room. We were able to keep a continuous flow of ideas which was helped by the atmosphere we were in. And lastly, we also enjoyed the games room during down time on our schedule. It was a nice way to relax without having to go off site.
