I’ve stayed here many times and every visit has been exceptional. The rooms are spacious, spotless and have air con which is a big plus — so much better than Hatfield where the rooms are smaller, hotter and a bit damp. What really makes this hotel special is the people. Jay manages the team brilliantly — it’s clear the staff are happy, as I see the same friendly faces each stay. Dana, Esther, Gabriella and the cleaning staff manager all go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and looked after. Honestly feels like a home from home. Highly recommend to anyone!

We received a warm welcome and the room was lovely. The location was perfect for exploring the local restaurants and the local cycling infrastructure e.g. Cole Green Way.

Excellent staff , location except the price on the 18th of June Wednesday , the price was £255 a night which it was shocking without breakfast , without wifi ,its same price of Hilton 5 stars hotel .. I hope the price it’s next time fair enough not more than a Hilton 5 stars hotel thank you

No AC. And lied about by staff. Had to keep windows open to loud sounds from city center outside. No room amenities such as microwave, mini fridge, irons. Very expensive with no amenities and no ac

Great stay, clean rooms, and fantastic reception staff. Maria made me feel like a was a regular customer despite this being my first stay!!

It's not an amazing place to stay - the TV is small. The drains make funny noises, and the toilet flush is as loud as on an aeroplane. The air conditioning didn't work in our room. Pigeons may try and come in if you open the window (which means that they have the window opening restricted to just an inch or two!). There's a miserly half hour of free wifi. But on the whole, check in and out was very smooth, it's right next to the train to London (which is regular and quick), lots of local amenities in walking distance... it's a bit of a hidden gem IMHO.

Lovely helpful lady on reception when I arrived. Unfortunately I was allocated a room on the 2nd floor, it was stiflingly hot and stuffy (it was a very warm day) and the aircon was not working. Went immediately back to reception and was allocated another room where it was working with no fuss. So far, so good. The aircon in the new room was working to a point, not very effective but better than nothing! Had booked breakfast the next morning. When I arrived there was no-one around to check my booking or that I had paid (really wish I hadn't!) and only 1 other person in the restaurant......soon became clear why this might be! The cooked breakfast was disgusting, cold, you could snap the bacon in half it was so overcooked, there were no beans and the hash browns were a solid congealed lump! I could go on. Sadly inedible and no-one around to speak to. On check out a person briefly appeared as I was in the lift to leave, mentioned briefly the breakfast but he was uninterested. I have stayed here on many occasions and do not expect 5 star (you get what you pay for) but I do expect at the very least a decent breakfast.

Nice size room with firm bed. Bathroom on small side but shower was good. Comfortable chair in room and nice to have kettle and tea and coffee selection Maria on reception was really welcoming and professional. Which made us feel at home. Didn't try restaurant in Travelodge but good to have bar and food onsite
