The Brent Hotel - London - Wembley

I stayed at this hotel when I was attending a concert at Wembley Stadium. The hotel was nice and central, the room had everything you could need for an overnight stay and the receptionist went above and beyond to explain everything. As a solo traveler this is impotent and I felt safe I the area

Was very welcoming and even upgraded our room, rooms were clean, nice and staff were very friendly, hotel has car park and good location, the beds were very comfortable and bathroom was also very clean

Hotel booked for the 19th due to Coldplay in concert , we live in Liverpool so not round the corner , been looking forward to this and working extra hours to pay for hotel which puts their prices up ridiculous amount due to the concert being on, this being expected we paid the stupid price as it’s round the corner and we have stayed before and it was great , cancelled a refundable hotel to stay here as I knew what to expect due to previous stays and would rather put my mind at ease, paid for a non refundable room as we would most definitely not be cancelling as we have looked forward to this trip all year , concert cancelled and moved dates to the 21st due to London train strikes but hotel unable to move our stay to the Sunday two days later to accommodate , of course if they could not do this due to capacity then the least we expected was money back as a gesture of good will as a non refundable room can be overided by the manager , a week I have tried to speak to a manager and poor Andy on the desk seems to be working 247 dealing with everyone’s issues as no manager is ever available and will never return calls, it’s a lot of money to pay out espicially with the cost lf living at the minute surely the hotel can understand how hard it is at the minute on people but when you don’t go out ever due to work commitments and children you look forward to a trip to London booked months and months in advance , I can’t believe how bad the customer service is in this hotel and that no one is willing to even contact you back to discuss this or even give a partial refund as we have worked and worked to pay for a room and facilities we won’t get to use and haven’t used, it’s wrong and disgusting that nothing has been offered instead e.g a night stay in the future or anything ! Shocking to say the least and am gutted I made my partner cancel the refundable room in the lovely hotel 10 mins away for the brent as it’s proved me wrong and let us down and we had no choice but to accept a refund on the tickets for the concert as we couldn’t afford to book another hotel in London as we don’t have money to throw away ! Should be ashamed , would advise you if your thinking of staying here to think again
