I can’t add much more than all the previous reviews have said but I will try! The entire experience here at Sindile was more than first class. Like others have said, you need to build in time to enjoy your ‘tent’! We had a three night stay and definitely needed at least one more. From the moment you arrive at the gates you are made to feel so welcome and soon feel as though you are among friends. Also, your animal sightings start almost straight away. Our butler Siya was attentive, fun to be with and attended to our every need. His decoration of our bath on our last night was the loveliest surprise and so beautiful. Thankyou. The tent is huge with everything you need and more. It was hard to leave to go on the safari drives. On a day that got to 42 degrees the plunge pool was a welcome if very warm respite from the heat and we enjoyed bird watching from the water. As for the safari drives, we have the truly amazing Shaun to thank (again) for making them so special. From tiny tortoise to male lions eating their kill from the previous night, we saw so much. Up close and personal but with total respect and consideration for the animals and landscape made it the best safari we have done. Shaun’s knowledge is considerable and his explanations of animal behaviour taught us much and made us feel totally safe at all times. All done with consideration for our comfort and with a great sense of humour. There is plenty of good quality, beautifully presented food. No chance will anyone go hungry. In fact we never had room for lunch the whole stay as an after safari breakfast was plenty and dinner can be three courses if you have room. We must also give a big thankyou to Kim and all the staff we don’t see face to face who help make Sindile the magical place it is. Don’t ever change it! Iain & Lorraine

From the beginning to end, this was truly a 5 star experience. 4 night stay ideal for an in-depth safari, which included 8 drives. Shaun, our ranger welcomed us warmly and met our safari needs with enthusiasm. We were very fortunate that he had so much knowledge of the animals and was able to share their stories. He was prompt, made us feel comfortable and eager to start our day at 5:30 in the morning. the lodge experience was just as exceptional. Our tented accommodation was spotless and fully equipped. Our butler, Lulu made sure that our needs were catered for down to which gin we preferred. The selection of food was outstanding and included two braai experiences. You will never go hungry at Sindile. The range of animals that we saw, the staff, service, hospitality and general meeting of individuals needs are second to none. Congratulations you’ve got it right. Would recommend without a doubt.

This was our third South African safari, our second at Shamwari, and the best of the three. Everything about our three nights at the Sindile lodge was superb. From the luxury tented accommodation, the lovely food, the fantastic service from the staff, who couldn’t do enough for you, and Mino, the brilliant ‘Indian Ranger’. Our stay at Shamwari was the highlight of the holiday, which had included three days in Cape Town and four days driving along the garden route. If there was a down side to the whole experience, it was that three days didn’t give us enough time to appreciate the whole thing. We will, hopefully, get to go back again -only next time will be for longer. There were four of us, plus Mino, in our truck for all three days’ drives, and Mino always discussed with us what he intended to do, and gave us options. Mino is a very experienced ranger, so we always went along with his suggestions, and were not disappointed at all. As I said, this was our third safari and, although the previous two rangers were very good, Mino was even better.

We had the most incredible time at Sindile. From the spectacular game drives, delicious food to excellent service & incredible accommodation. We could not have wished for a better stay. I can highly recommend it. The game drives with Mino were the best we have ever experienced. He went out of his way for us to have a true bush experience, his passion for the wild and knowledge of the animals is what makes it really special. We could not fault it in any way and will definitely be back another unforgettable experience!

My wife and I have been lucky to experience over 20 safaris. There's pro's and con's at most locations with both the hard product (Lodge) and soft product (service). There's also always the debate if Kruger or Sabi is the ONLY place to see big 5. I was resistant as this was our first eastern cape safari....wow! This place is 7 star all the way around. Saw all of the Big 5, food was superb, service was off the page and the tents are better than most 5 Star Hotels globally. I must admit the landscape wasn't what I was expecting either. If you're looking to go to South Africa, please short list this property.

Had the most amazing few days with my family staying at Sindile Lodge at Shamwari. From the incredible rooms, food, and customer service. All of the employees went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The absolute highlight of our trip was our guide, Odwa. He was so knowledgeable, fun, and did everything he could to make sure our trip was out of this world. We had the best drives and always felt safe with him. If you get Odwa as your guide, you are in for a treat!

ABOUT OUR GREAT STAY We enjoyed two stunning days with Mino. He gave his absolute best for us and showed us the greatest spots. Because of his experience he could always know what is going to happen next and could prepare us great for the situations. We are very grateful for the time we could spend with our best indian ranger mino! The staff of Sendile was so gentile with us and they literally made every of our wishes come true. The food was delicious and our whole stay was fantastic. A big thank you to MINO and the staff of Sendile! Lovely greetings from the Family JÄGER

It's difficult to convey how wonderful our experience at Shamwari was at the Sindile Lodge. The experience seeing the animals was far better than we even anticipated. The service at the lodge was impeccable - truly five star facilities and service. But what takes the experience to a new level was the people of Shamwari. They were so friendly and service oriented I felt it matched any top tier hotel anywhere in the world. We've had many great vacations, but this is the first time, when we left a place we emotionally missed it. People use the term "once in a lifetime experience" too often... this is situation where it absolutely applies. Special thanks to Ruan, Siphelele and Mbongeni. Enkosi.
