Nous avons hébergé ici 2 nuits pendant notre excursion familiale. Nous étions avec 7 personnes dans 4 chambres. Nous avons utilisé un arrangement. L'hôtel est bon, les chambres sont spacieuses, confortables et propres. Le personnel est généralement aimable. Nous avons eu un bon moment, mais le seul commentaire est que le personnel est très occupé pendant le dîner, et qu'il n'a pas beaucoup d'attention, ce qui nous a fait visiter à plusieurs reprises et demander des boissons supplémentaires, mais pour le reste, un véritable conseiller.

hôtel très grand. Chambre spacieuse et salle de bains avec baignoire, douche et toilettes séparées. Porte à glissement donne accès à l'espace extérieur partagé (balcon). Nous avons eu de la nourriture dans le bar et nous l'avons vraiment apprécié, à un prix raisonnable. La piscine et le dartboard sont situés dans la zone de bar mais légèrement entourés. Les installations de la piscine et du bien-être sont gratuites et vraiment bien entretenues. Très propres et de nombreux choix: sauna de sel, sauna à herbes, sauna finlandaise, hamam, sauna infrarouge, baignoire de pieds et douche de neige. Les toilettes sont disponibles et les chambres sont libres de laisser passer. Les chambres sont non mélangées.

Horrible service. Unhelpful and quite frankly rude. I had emailed the hotel to say that we would be arriving after 11pm for check in. I received a polite reply that said, ” That is no problem”. I continued to keep the hotel informed va email once we left Amsterdam. They did not inform us that there was a fesival in thier town and that it would be difficult to get to the hotel. After driving around for an hour and asking several people, I phoned the Hotel directly. The man who I spoke too was the most unfriendly, unsympathetic and unhelpful person. He basically said that it would be impossible to get to the hotel and that he could not help us. When I pressed for more information, he suggested I park the car anywhere that I can find a place and walk to the hotel. When I asked how far away we were and how long it would take to to walk to the hotel, he laughed and said that it would take us all night. Very disappointing and disheartening when we had 2 rooms booked and paid 691 euros (345.50 euros per room; 1 comfort double and 1 comfort twin). We arrived approximately 15 minutes later (around 3am!). I explained that the service was terrible in getting there. They tried to blame it on all the drunk people at the festival when in fact, the service from the hotel was unsatisfactory. The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was good (at the restaurant across the street) but we were only there for a few hours. The service of the staff in the morning made up for the unacceptable, rude, unprofessional and unhelpful man from the night before. He should not be working in the tourism industry. Disappointingly, this was our first time staying at this hotel and it will be the last. Which is a shame as we like to support small, family run businesses. I do not recommend staying here during the weekend that we stayed in June. We were there for the MotoGP and will stay elsewhere next time. I suggest you do the same.

Elp is een plaatsje dat prima gelegen is voor het verkennen van Drenthe. De Koekoekshof is een prima, niet te dure gelegenheid om als basis daarvoor te dienen. Fietsen en motoren kunnen van de weg worden gestald. Heel vriendelijke ontvangst en prima verzorging. Ontbijt was basis maar met enkele plaatselijke toetsjes en mogelijkheid tot bereiding van verse eiergerechten en smoothies. De kamer is schoon en groot genoeg. Het meubilair is lichtelijk gedateerd en de vloerbedekking kan nog net mee. Maar een prima bed en keuze aan kussens (hard of zacht). Goede koffie (en thee) op de kamer. Badkamer is simpel met een douche in het bad. Verlichting is overal goed. Elp is heel rustig en de kamer redelijk geluidsarm dus prima geslapen. Helaas was de kok die avond ziek, maar we werden doorverwezen naar een prima alternatief. Wel een goede bar en een terrasmogelijkheid. Zeer goede prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding dus een aanrader voor als je enkele dagen Drenthe wilt verkennen. Zeker vanwege de eigenaar die één en al vriendelijkheid en attenthied is. Compliment.
