despite being sent email up on email regarding food and drinks, the beefeater was closing in June and there was no food or drinks to be had was breakfast was finished. Not once were we advised of this. We ended up having to get a taxi into town as one of the party was on crutches, which is why is was more than a little inconvenient that the bar and evening meal was not available. The eating experience.... I booked this Premier inn as I have stayed he before. On the run up to the stay I was getting emails showing the menu for both Breakfast and dinner. However I did receive an email saying the Beefeater was closing in June but we could still eat, nowhere did is say there would be no bar or evening meals available. This changed all our plans, as one of my friends how was staying in another room is on crutches due to a knee op, dinner and drinks at the beefeater would be ideal as he couldn't walk far. We ended up having to get a taxi into town £10 there and £10 back. Breakfast. we were told in the morning that the chef had just received his notice of redundancy, but was still working. We were meeting a group of us for Breakfast on The Friday morning so the buffet breakfast was Ideal, nope it was all you could eat, but had to order so it could be cooked to order. This caused confusion with the waitress who was lovely and will be an asset to whoever she works for next. When the order came there was one breakfast short (this wouldn't have happened if it was a buffet) she apologised and the missing breakfast wasn't to long in coming. However when it did come the poor waitress was in tears, I went and had a word and she said the chef was rude to her for messing up our order, we were find with it and hadn't made it a issue.
