"Upon arrival, we were allocated a family room directly overlooking the designated smoking area. The noise and strong smell of cigarette smoke made the room unsuitable, particularly as we were travelling with children. I requested to be moved that evening; however, the member of staff on reception was unhelpful and unable to offer any assistance. As a result, we had no option but to remain in that room overnight. We were eventually moved to a different room the following day, but this room also had a strong smell of cigarette smoke, which again made for an uncomfortable stay and was not appropriate for our children’s health. More seriously, while in the new room, the curtain rail came loose and fell, striking my 9-year-old daughter. Although she was not seriously injured, the incident was extremely distressing and raised serious concerns about the room’s safety standards. We reported the matter to staff at the time, yet no action or follow-up was taken. Since returning home, I have contacted Premier Inn Customer Services on several occasions seeking a resolution. I was informed that complaints must be submitted within a few days of departure; however, given the nature of the issues experienced — particularly the safety incident — I find this response wholly inadequate. Hotel management said they would get back to me. This is why I didn't raise the concern straight away with Customer service. However this has left me out of pocket"

"Excellent place to stay Ian and Nav were easy to go and helpful hosts. Good breakfast every morning. Tea and coffee facilities in our room. Didn't use the pool so can't comment on that. I would recommend. B&B organisé propre et propre avec des prix très raisonnables."

"I arrived on a stormy night in the lake district - on entering the hotel I was met with a warm glow from the log fire and a very warm welcome from the receptionist. As the hotel dining room was about to close, a room was sorted and the kitchen kept open for an evening meal - a delicious melt in the mouth steak was a pleasure after a 6 hour drive from the south of england, washed down with a welcome glass of Shiraz. The bed was very comfortable, the room had a large bath and separate shower cubicle and copious hot water. The decor and fittings were in sympathy with the age and history of the hotel, a pleasant change from the blandness of more modern mass market hotels. The staff were very friendly and it was a pleasure to be assisted without having to use automated impersonal systems. I will not hesitate to stay at the hotel again when I am next in the area."

"J'ai séjourné quelques nuits avant de faire la côte à la route du cycle côtier, il était prévu de rester une nuit mais j'ai fini par avoir à rester une nuit supplémentaire en raison de mauvaises conditions météorologiques. Le restaurant est très confortable et très confortable. Il est un bâtiment plus ancien, donc il y a un peu de traîne et de larmes comme vous l'auriez espéré (un travail de décoration était en cours pendant que j'étais là) mais encore très agréable et confortable. Beaucoup d'autres cyclistes là font le C2C, ils sont très confortables et heureux de stocker des bikes en toute sécurité."

"Visit to Whitehaven premier inn. I stayed in an accessible room with floor level shower. The room was clean and there was a fan in the room. A member of the reception team kindly escorted my daughter to my room when she had arrived to drop off something for me. Rather than just giving her a room key so she could gain access to the building and my room, they checked that she was who she had said and that I was happy for her to have access to the building. I thought this was very good service and felt safe at the hotel. My daughter was impressed also. At a different location on a previous stay my daughter had been given a door key to my room after asking for it. No checks were made to make sure she was known to me and that I was happy for her to be allowed entry so for the staff at Whitehaven Premier Inn to be so vigilant whilst staying professional, polite and friendly, I was very impressed and made to feel safe during my stay."

"J'ai arrivée dans une nuit énorme dans le quartier du lac - à l'entrée de l'hôtel, j'ai rencontré un chaud feu de la logique et un très chaud bienvenu de la réception. L'hôtel se ferme, une chambre a été sortie et la cuisine est restée ouverte pour un repas de soir - une délicieuse bouche de biscuit était un plaisir après 6 heures driver du sud de l'Angleterre, lavé avec un verre de bienvenue de Shiraz. Le lit était très confortable, la chambre avait une grande salle de bains et un cube de douche séparé et une eau chaude cool. La décoration et les accessoires sont en compassion avec l'âge et l'histoire de l'hôtel, un agréable changement de la convivialité des hôtels de plus modernes de masse. Le personnel était très aimable et il était agréable d'être assisté sans avoir à utiliser des systèmes automatisés impersonnels. Je n'hésiterai pas à rester à l'hôtel à nouveau quand je serai à la prochaine dans la zone."
