Located in the centre of the village, on the Main Street, with bus stop virtually outside the door. Ski facilities are literally just across the road, and the ski/boot hire shop at the front of the hotel is accessible from within the basement. There's also a room for storing skis and boots with warming facilities. I had a third-floor room with balcony facing the village church; bells begin at 7am, but you'll only hear them if the window is open! The room, with double bed was comfortable, if basic, but remember that this is a 3-star hotel, so no issues on that front. It was cleaned, and the bed made each day. There's a small pool in the basement, also a sauna. It would n't take many people to make it seem busy, but it wasn't so during my stay. You may have to ask for additional towels or remember to bring them down from the room, as there aren't any to hand in the basement. Breakfast buffet has a good selection of continental-breakfast fare, with cereals, cold meat selection and a scrambled egg/bacon/sausage option as well; it's not extravagant, but more than adequate. I had a half-board option, so an (early) evening meal was included; this is a little limited in scope, but there are three courses, with three choices of main course, including a vegetarian option. Wine with your meal is going to be pricey, but a large Weissbier not. To sum up: clean, comfortable, with friendly and helpful staff, and I would be happy to stay here on my next trip to Niederau.
