Stayed here with family August 2024. Very nice boutique hotel in central Willemstad. The hotel compound is expansive and there are rooms and buildings in various areas near to the reception, some require a slight walk from the front desk. There are two small pools in beautiful courtyards in two different locations on the property. Entry to different areas is secured through coded gates between buildings. Wifi is free and fast. This hotel doesnt have a restaurant but it is basically next to Nieuwestraat which is a nightlife hotspot with restaurants and bar patios. Rooms are very clean and boho style. Hotel staff are friendly and nice. Parking is free if you have a rental car but you will have to park on the public streets in front of the reception or on the street behind reception first come first serve. This hotel is probably about a 10 minute walk to the famous Queen Emma floating bridge. Would definitely come back

Hôtel qui se veut luxe mais qui ne l’est pas du tout. Arrivée : Avantage : clé reçue à l’aéroport. Désavantage : aucun accueil sur place. Apparemment on pouvait aller manger (il était 22h00) mais nous n’avons pas été mis au courant. Deux heures plus tard nous sommes partis dormir le ventre vide vu que le room service n’est jamais venu Chambre : Le lit est grand et confortable. Les dames du ménage passent tous les jours. Douche italienne agréable. Miroir grossissant. Rideaux bien occultants. La chambre est grande mais aucun rangement nulle part : pas de colonne de SDB pour ranger ses affaires (j’ai mis ma table de nuit dans la SDB pour pouvoir les poser), rien dans la chambre sauf une seule armoire, aucun porte manteau, on doit tout poser par terre. Terrasse inutilisable pour 2 raisons : les chaises métalliques « design » sont très inconfortables et de toute façon les terrasses sont envahies de moustiques tigres donc impossible d’y rester ne fusse ce que 5 minutes (nous étions au rez de chaussée) Les rideaux sentent mauvais, le tapis est sale et la tête de lit se décolle déjà. Restaurants : Celui a buffet est assez bon, il faut le reconnaitre (les desserts sont succulents mais dommage, pas de glaces), beaucoup de choix. En revanche les 3 restos à thèmes The Rif sont une arnaque, c’est en fait 3 restos DANS le restaurant buffet, juste séparés par une cloison, on n’a donc absolument pas l’impression de manger à un autre endroit, l’ambiance ne change pas (de plus le repas entrée-plat-dessert a pris moins de 25 minutes, pas très agréable) Concernant les restaurants à la Mangrove c’est aussi une arnaque car il faut réserver à partir de 10h00 (donc impossible pour ceux qui partent la journée), et pour le soir même uniquement. Impossible de réserver via l’application, c’est uniquement à l’accueil. Pour les restaurants sans réservation il faut arriver une heure avant l’ouverture et faire la file en plein soleil pour espérer avoir une place. Le service est pitoyable, les serveurs ne sont pas du tout du métier et ne font rien correctement (ils rient ensemble alors que les tables ne sont pas nettoyées, ils ne servent pas à boire aux gens …) Bar : Catastrophe aussi, les serveurs ne savent pas faire les cocktails, on n’a jamais eu 2x le même cocktail, ils changent constamment en fonction de qui le fait (souvent ils vont voir sur leur téléphone la recette). De plus ils sont extrêmement lents, il faut beaucoup de patience pour avoir son verre. Il n’y a pas de bière sans alcool (et une seule et unique bière au menu : la Heineken) Points positifs : il y a toujours à disposition des petites bouteilles d’eau fraiche dans un grand bac à glaçon sur le comptoir Plage : Extrêmement petite, la première ligne est composée uniquement de cabanas payant que personne n’utilise (car aucun parasol et très cher), on doit donc tous ses mettre en arrière. My stay at Avila Beach was one of the very best vacations I had in a long time. My first visit to Avila Beach was 42 years ago on my honeymoon, and since my husband's passing 5 years ago I wanted to return. Needless to say, things have changed dramatically, but for the better. The food, the staff, the spa and the accommodations were all top notch. God willing, I'd like to make this a yearly trip. I'd also like to extend a special thank you to Vaynis at Cloud Nine Spa, who had hands that were kissed by the angels; Nathania, who was doing double duty at both The Pen and Blues Restaurants and was very helpful in making sure I had everything I needed, and, lastly the two young ladies at the front desk, and forgive me, but I didn't get the name of one, and the other I wrote down, but can't find the paper, but it started with a ”Jean”. Sorry about that, but they were extremely patient and helpful with me when I checked in. Bottom line, this was money well spent and God bless the staff of Avila Beach Hotel for making my trip memorable.

L'hôtel est très confortable et confortable. Nous avons accès gratuit à l'aquarium de la mer, aux chaises de plage de Madero et au café gratuit machine (tous les jours) ... très délicieux par la route! Alors près de grands restaurants et la plage! Si vous voulez vous détendre et rester quelques jours, c'est le meilleur endroit pour vous et votre famille !

The property itself is nice but there are a few problems but that's not what I want to leave this review for. This review& the low star rating is for an experience that I had with one of the workers,her name begins with K. SHE WORKS PREDOMINANTLY WITH THE PILOTS AND Attendants. She is fair complexioned,on the chubby side& wears glasses. The young lady was helping me when one of the pilots walked up she told me that I will be with you in a second and began to assist him & I said well how can you help him when you're not finished helping me. She responded that she needed to assist him. I posed the question again. This young lady looked me square in my face & instead of explaining to me her sole responsibility, with an attitude of annoyance told me that this white pilot is ”her priority” & continued assisting him. I was offended. to make a long story short.I told her about herself , her lack of professionalism and how EVERY GUEST IS A PRIORITY. I also spoke to the manager(Kim who was absolutely kind, friendly, welcoming, attentive and professional) who the day we were leaving seemed to be chummy ,chummy w/the young lady so I don't think any type of action was taken but I could be wrong. Anyhoo, whoever is reading this you need to RETRAIN some of the people that work there. Also, there needs to be training for all of the housekeepers that clean the rooms. There needs to be a uniform way of doing things. I'm of the persuasion that if I am spending my money I expect a certain level of service which was lacking. Papayago, please take a page out of the book of the Marriott in Grand Cayman. Just came back & service/ALL STAFF was ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars!

La deuxième fois que vous séjournez dans l'hôtel, l'environnement global est bon, mais la salubrité de la chambre n'est pas satisfaisante. De nombreux clients ne sont pas nettoyés et nettoyés pendant 2 jours. Le petit-déjeuner est toujours à confirmer. Le service de la réception est également très bon. Le paysage de la mer et le paysage du jardin sont très beaux.
