Not necessarily shining brightly, but there is always light. The South Lake View Garden stands by the core attraction of the Hongcun Scenic Area, South Lake, where you can hide the life you long for. The homestay is divided into two buildings, Building 1 and Building 2. Building 1 has a rare lake view room and a lake view balcony in Hongcun. You can enjoy the sunrise and sunset of South Lake without going out, and the beautiful scenery of clouds and clouds; Building 2 features a Huizhou style courtyard with a classic four water return pattern. Soak in a cup of Maofeng tea and enjoy a leisurely time on the sofa, watching the drizzling rain; At night, you can also go to the balcony and watch the stars twinkle and the moonlight shine brightly; The decoration here is simple and elegant, both modern and well integrated with the local quiet temperament. Whether through the large transparent glass windows or landscape balconies, we can feel the charm of Huizhou up close. Accompanied by a gentle breeze, we drink tea with three or five friends in the spacious courtyard, chat about life and leisure, and spend a few days of warm and natural spring in such a quiet courtyard.

The owner sent someone to pick me from the west gate after i was missing the way to the hotel and tired dragging the luggage on uneven stone road. The owner has surprised me with an upgraded room with a little garden and projector. The owner and staffs are very friendly and helpful too.
The hotel is clean, modern and well design. It consists 2 buildings which are separated by the walkway. The location is perfect and short walking distance to west gate which is surrounded by restaurants and shops out of the hongcun scenic area. I had an enjoyable walk out of the scenic area after my early morning photography at 5am and before tourists have started flocking in.
A stay in hungcun is highly recommended if you are planning to have a peaceful photography session without any tourists at all. I will not wake up such early at 5am without the recommendations given by the owner. You will expect the calm and clearer water. Do take note that the locals may wash their clothes thus interrupting the calmness of the water.
I will definitely stay in this hotel again if going to hungcun again.

The hotel is just less than 5 minutes from Hongcun South Entrance. I called them when I arrived and their staff met me at the South Entrance to help with my luggage.
The hotel's design is nice, blending traditional architecture and modern design. Insect screens are also installed on the windows and doors of the room to keep the insects out.
Staff were always pleasant, helpful and readily provided recommendations on dining and sightseeing. Thumbs up for the great service!

Wonderful experience at this lovely and modern hotel. Located in a restructured traditional house at the outskirts of the village, just past the entrance gate.
The landlady was very forthcoming and helped organize the transfer to the hotel and back.
The included breakfast was delicious. An LD we even got some small sweets as a parting gift.
Can only recommend.

Great hotel with a beautiful view on the village, depending on which room you booked. There is also a viewing terrace which is accessible to hotel guests. The room was clean and had a nice design. The breakfast was Hui-style and the same for everyone. Overall, no complaints!
