Our 2 nights’ stay was well above our expectations! We had a late check-in as we met with unexpected delay due to road works at the mountains in Yilan. Reaching the Wellspring feeling weary, we were delighted with our room upgrade upon arrival. The thoughtfulness, tasteful furnishings and details in the room were a delight while the cosy private onsen was a wonderful highlight! The buffet breakfast had a spectacular spread and was indeed scrumptious, just as I had read in the reviews before I made the reservation. We absolutely loved our stay at Wellspring by Silks Jiaoxi. Thank you so much and keep up the good work!

Very clean room, although a bit small. I loved the breakfast spread - very yummy options from stewed beef in Japanese style, fresh fruits, curry, eggs in many ways (soft-boiled, scrambled etc.), congee. The spaces to work in were comfortable and the WiFi was very stable and fast. There are great amenities available from the pool and gym, as well as complimentary Happy Hour / snacks / free flow coffee and drinks. Highly recommend this place. I would stay again!

Hotel Review: Jiaoxi Wellsprings Hotel (Family Stay) Our family recently stayed at Jiaoxi Wellsprings Hotel, and it was a wonderful experience for both adults and kids. The combination of modern comfort, private hot springs, and a great location made it an excellent choice for a relaxing getaway. Location & Convenience The hotel is centrally located in Jiaoxi, just a short walk from Jiaoxi Train Station and close to local restaurants, night markets, and family-friendly attractions. The convenience of having everything within reach made our trip much easier, especially with kids in tow. Family-Friendly Rooms & Amenities We booked a family room, which was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The highlight for us was the private in-room hot spring tub, which allowed us to enjoy the hot springs as a family in a comfortable and private setting. The kids absolutely loved it! The beds were comfortable, and the room had all the necessary amenities, including slippers and yukatas, making our stay even more enjoyable. Hot Spring Facilities Apart from the in-room hot spring, the hotel’s rooftop open-air hot spring was a fantastic experience. The view of the surrounding mountains was breathtaking, and the warm mineral water was incredibly soothing after a day of exploring. It’s a must-visit, especially in the evening. Service & Hospitality The hotel staff were friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating to families. They provided excellent service, from check-in to check-out, and were always happy to offer recommendations for nearby attractions and food options. Breakfast & Dining The breakfast buffet had a good mix of ********* and Western options, catering to both adults and kids. While the selection was decent, we would have liked to see a bit more variety for children. That said, everything was fresh and well-prepared. Overall Experience Jiaoxi Wellsprings Hotel is a great choice for families looking to experience Jiaoxi’s hot springs in a comfortable and convenient setting. The private hot spring tubs, spacious rooms, and friendly service made our stay very enjoyable. We would definitely return for another family getaway! In my estimation this is the best hotel in Jiaoxi, and perhaps in yilan (if we are considering facilities). First, it is just a few minutes walk from Jiaoxi train station, as well as some of the public hot springs around Jiaoxi, so very convenient. There are also a few restaurants nearby at various price ranges. Second, the room is pretty nice, they have a personal hot spring that you can relax in while partially being outdoors. Third, the hotel includes not just the facilites at Wellspring but also at nearby Just Sleep, which includes an indoor onsen, if that is more your style. Just Sleep also has a gym (Wellspring does not). They also offer some drinks and snacks at both hotels. During "happy Hour" at Wellspring, they offer wine and some more variety of snacks, which I appreciated. But the main "perk" of the Wellspring is the rooftop pool. There are actually two pools, so they offer a nearly 360 degree view of the surroundings, and on a clear day you can even see Guishan Island in the distance. Though the view isn't as good as, say, the view of the Taipei 101, it's still quite nice. And it's not like there are a lot of rooftop pools in other parts of Taiwan. And there is both a cold pool and a hot pool (hot spring). Finally, I think the buffet breakfast is pretty good quality, one of the better ones I have had in Taiwan for sure. They have a variety of hot food and cooked food. Overall though its a tad expensive, for a five star in Taiwan its probably cheap.
